Eric, as far as I am concerned we have been a second rate nation (with a first rate history) for some time now. And our political system allowing the disaster of Brexit is another slip down that slippery slope. We are allowing our world to change all around us, and worse, from within.
At least Starmer is initiating some change in defence spending but, not quickly enough. He/we should find the finance to get our defence spending to 5% by 2027/8, not 2035. We need to realign all of our defence thinking too. It should consist of two foundations, namely,….. 1. Do not in any way, shape or form, expect the U.S. to aid us in any future conflict or threat to our realm. 2. Do not in any way shape or form, expect Europe to aid us likewise. We are in deep, deep trouble and we desperately need to waken up. |

Totally agree LoyalHoncho. I have never in my lifetime felt the dangers we are facing now from within and from consecutive PMs who have no good intent for us living in their peace times which they think is a bubble that wont burst. Corporations are also now out of control and the huge AI corporations about to make us have id’s and control us.
How can this idiot let Bezos build data centres in Central London is he stupid with Iran threatening to have nuclear missiles? Bezos will close them once the data centres are built. At least Sunak was half intelligent ripping the country off on behalf of his billionaire wife and father in law companies through outsourcing jobs like mine to India now many of using all nations to be outsourced to AI instead in the short to medium term. Next Zia Yusuf skulking behind Farage playing the channel boats tune with the electorate to get in power and make his fortunes from AI as a result. There is no integrity or scrutiny anywhere you look it is a different time now with the news stations controlled as if we are in Russia these days not reporting on matters and motivations about to damage the country. |
