none taken. i know it isn’t the most exciting subject but it will drastically affect everyone’s lives in the next 2-10 years in horse racing and life in general and most don’t have a clue it is coming.

So this is the CEOs seeing how stinking rich they can now get through reducing their labour costs using AI. How do you justify it though while keeping a good image, these apparently leaked CEO emails are a good way of a CEO saying ‘look these CEOs are doing it so if we don’t we will fall behind in this new age of AI’, clever.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I49wZxzgsCc

The not so good part is how it will be done practically.

Asking the staff themselves to decide whose jobs could be made more efficient. Let’s disguise it as a quiz or something. It is really using crowd mentality to prey upon each other in a ‘you or me’ scenario until there is a much reduced number of core staff needed for the AI to function that will remain.

So how do the civil service achieve the same thing as private CEOs?

Well i recently applied for a job with the civil service advertised by a UK based agency.

They wanted to put me forward for the role and said they would pass my CV to … yes you guessed it … Tata Consultancy Services, the leading Indian outsourcer, to decide whether i was suitable for the role!!!! The same outsourcer who are drastically going to reduce their own staff due to AI while training 25,000 in their own AI tools to be used probably in the civil service in future at huge cost to the taxpayer.

It looks like Sunak, with his family connections relating to outsourcing making his wife richer than the Queen and his father in law a multi-billionaire, may have had influence in his brief stint in power in ‘putting things in place’ for Tata to control staffing in the lead up to the AI revolution that will affect the civil service in future.

what these uk job agencies dont realise is they are going to be out of work as well when the outsourcers provide their own AI staff into roles and the use of AI reduces their need to recruit other IT and non IT UK staff (and across the world for that matter). Welcome to the game of being outsourced everyone it has been happening to IT workers since the Blair era but now most will find out however being outsourced to AI.

But then, last October, the board had several conversations in which two executives detailed their own experiences with Altman and used the phrase "psychological abuse," Toner said.

She said the executives told the board that they "didn't think he was the right person to lead the company to AGI" and that "they had no belief that he could or would change, no point in giving him feedback, no point in trying to work through these issues."

The original name got a reaction in this podcast for sure-

The propaganda has already started on the upcoming effect of AI on work historically available to Gen-Z kids coming out of university to pass blame onto them before they have even entered the workplace.

It is so cold and calculating this time as it is aimed at the young with the approach of AI about to take their low level jobs we are seeing ‘lack of soft skills’ propaganda now a lot of which could be AI generated on forums.

In the past starting in the late nineties it was called a ‘local skills shortage’ aimed at skilled workers to support globalisation and companies taking advantage of cheaper offshore labour with a lower cost of living who could afford to be paid less for the same skills. There were ‘skills shortages’ according to hiring companies that were really not skills shortages but a lack of those local skilled workers who were able or willing to work for wages offered by employers that were of a level to attract lower wage offshore labour to increase their wage profits.

It is a shocking state of affairs when this propaganda is now to be aimed at the heart of our societies the young university Gen-Z age kids in each and every nation, including those nations that used to have a lower cost of living and were utilised by low wage employers benefitting from the ‘lack of local skilled workers’ propaganda.

These kids havent even had a chance to pick up soft skills you learn in a workplace this propaganda needs to be stopped.

This World Chat app which is discussed as a cross between Venmo and Whatsapp is going to allow transfer of money between people. I wonder if this is in actual fact initially aimed at older relatives helping younger relatives including grads displaced from their jobs by AI? I thought those taking jobs would be putting some of their wealth back via payments to those displaced or is it going to be a 100% wealth transfer?

Venmo is a mobile payment service in the United States that allows users to easily send and receive money, primarily for splitting bills or sending gifts, with a social aspect to it. It functions as a peer-to-peer payment system through a mobile app, and while it has a social feed where users can see some transaction details, it's also designed to be safe for transferring money between friends

Making up reasons it is needed for, bots in games etc which hardly affect you in reality. All the reasons being back-fitted to the fact we are getting this and will be dragged into using it as incentives show you would lose out if you didnt despite the fact we are ok as we are thanks.

I guess the surprise that bookmakers might have coming is their billions in profit might be displaced by World and bookmaking apps started by AI entrepreneurs on there to attract customers away from traditional bookmakers in future.

Don’t under-estimate the ability of a worldwide network of Orbs from swallowing up companies and their profits as well even those who are adopting AI now.
By:

When: 14 Jun 25 07:04
In the end bookmakers are just organisations that act as wealth transferrers via agents over the phone or internet or on the racecourse which are now going to be automated and there is no real need for a centralisation of this function when nobody is going to need to hire and fire people and manage workforces to perform the functions needed by a traditional business either at hq or in shops anymore.

Whoever creates the best value for customers may come to the top with a far higher share of the market to those offering the best value with disruptors appearing all the time preventing market fixing of prices and staking between a select few.

Eric, I mean you no disrespect when I say aI don’t have a clue about what you are talking about.  And nor do I, at my age, feel the need to learn.
The word “just” however caught my attention.  It appears to me to falsify your whole statement.
Since when was paying out £20 to a punter with a fiver on a 3/1 shot the “transference of wealth”?
lol.

Apologies LoyalHoncho i could have worded that better.

What i was meaning is that if the AI entrepreneurs and their shareholders are going to take 100% of the wage profits of AI reducing worker headcount then it is to be hoped this soon to be introduced iris recognition system called Orb with it’s associated World virtual environment that allows money to be transferred between people (highly significant the company rep emphasised this in the video) is not going to be used for older people such as parents, grandparents to give money to subsidise their out of work kids and grandkids.

This would be removing the kids income that they would normally receive going from university into entry level jobs traditionally for grads and paying it instead into the pockets of soon to be stinking rich AI entrepreneurs. This new system would be a 100% wealth transfer indirectly from older people who could now replace (some of that) kids income to the entrepreneurs unless they give their profit back either in UBI payements to the kids or by providing them with similar employment (unlikely).

There will be a greed race between AI entrepreneurs to become the most powerful they aren’t going to give the wage profits back to society.

Also how will governments support these kids and everyone else with less taxes being paid?

AI is now at a level of performance of a graduate and it is thought these roles are in the first round of job losses (in terms of work that used to be there no longer being there as it will be done by AI) along with other computer users and those dealing with legal paperwork, creative media etc.

I watched Question Time and i reckon Zia Yusuf is the biggest conman going he was giving the audience exactly what they wanted to hear stirring it up on immigration.

He is also on message mentioning Reform didn’t really want to get rid of the NHS even in the face of blatantly opposite quotes to that by Farage that Fiona read out.

What a charlatan he has his eyes on the riches of AI and DOGE scything civil service jobs with the help of his AI buddies having the skills and tools to carry it out waiting in the background.

He couldn’t care less about the public i have never seen a bigger shark.

What is it with these ex-bankers from Goldman Sachs like Sunak and Yusuf they only know how to do deals to benefit themselves and contribute nothing at all other than negative effects on society.

HeadHoncho i think you meant my other post re transfer of wealth which meant bookmakers are just transferrers of wealth from those betting to themselves using market prices.

In future they won’t need to employ anybody on the phone or in shops so this function can be performed by anybody in the new AI world that can create agents and markets, you don’t have to employ anybody now which is the infrastructure that used to be needed to be a bookmaker. The same will go for many industries in the future.

imo this short profit grab from wage profits will lead to many bookmakers extinction as by definition a person creating agentic agents as supervisors and workers as needed and managing them could be done by any business and with very few staff. it could lead to other exchanges being bought up and also started with extremely wealthy AI entrepreneurs entering this lucrative industry.

The race to AGI with China

In 2022, 37% of top AI researchers working in US institutions were originally from the United States, while 38% were from China.

So how is there a race with China when there are so many of their AI experts working in US Institutions?
Is that likely to be allowed by the US if there is really a race to the AGI event horizon with China that will lead to the dire consequences being spun?

China manufactures around 90% of military drone parts and neighbours Taiwan who manufacture the Nvidia GPU’s used for AI.

They hold an advantage with these manufacturing locations in the event of escalations.

China has only one military base outside China compared to the US who have over 180 outside the US. China has only started one conflict in the past that doesn’t relate to local territorial claims and border disputes with neighbours.

Seems history shows they aren’t quite the aggressor we are being fed as a world threat.

Conclusion: AI entrepreneurs are making things up about the threat from China basically to get anything they want out of politicians.

So can we ask Starmer to enrol somebody to do this in the UK to give our university level kids a chance of adapting to the future business model due to AI as it is approaching or is it only nations developing the AI that are going to do that? …

So Starmer is racing the UK to the bottom of the pile by exchanging new Amazon Fulfilment centre warehouses just announced for Amazon AI data centres.

With a sequence of clueless lawyers and bankers as PM we are becoming a second rate nation with it’s technology industry sold out since the Blair era and now we have to be happy to be working in warehouses instead of leading the world in technology as in the past.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has a significant presence in the UK with multiple data center locations and a substantial investment in the region. AWS launched its UK region in 2016 and has since expanded it to include three Availability Zones, two WaveLength Zones, and two Edge Locations in London and Manchester, plus a Regional Edge Cache in London. Amazon also recently announced a further £8 billion investment in UK data centers over the next five years, expanding existing capacity in London and other locations.
