I am surprised by the drift on Constitution Hill and the zero threads discussing his chance today, other than united biscuits thread.
Personally I would prefer to see him over 2miles than 2.4 as I think he is all speed and others can't lay up with him due to his high cruising ability.  As we saw when he slammed Lossiemouth over 2 m at kempton.
If he gets beat today it will in my opinion be down to the fact that he's over 2.4 which stretches him and Lossies over 2.4 which is her optimum.

But let's look at the positives.
He is exceptional, which people seem to have forgotten since he missed last seasons festivals .
But he has not been off due to any injury, which would cause him to be an inferior animal ,so there is no reason to believe he is any different to his imperious best .
All we have seen is a horse that hadn't run for over a year having some cobwebs blown away .

Personally I think he is still a champion until we see otherwise and I am in his corner cheering him on .
So a big fat WIN from me.

Be interesting to see what opinions everyone has,  so please add yours .
All will be revealed at 3.30 this afternoon  Laugh

The trip obviously brings them closer together. And there is inherent risk in backing a horse after a fall, I believe the stats show they have more chance of underperforming next time. I couldn't be dogmatic about it, but it would be great to see CH back to his best and both of them run to form. It's a very long time now since we've seen Constitution Hill run at peak performance, the extra half mile on the surface appears less likely to help with that.

Evens on the exchange now! Well 1.99
That could look a gift around 3.35 but I can't back it
A Hendo horse on the drift sounds alarm bells for me, add in the lulamba fiasco and just can't touch this stable
2 more outsiders to make it 8 runners and woodhoh would be an ew bet for me

It's a just watch race for me

I'm not going to beat about the bush. I'm against him this time. The trip and his propensity to fluff a hurdle in the last couple of races. It could be the freshness in him nevertheless, at 10/11 I think the bookies are taking the mickey, tbf. As such, he's unbackable; Lossiemouth could even start fav; 7/4 at least over this trip and against Lossiemouth.

Rather be on Lossiemouth or Wodhooh at this trip combined with their weight allowance.

3rd place will have to do.

CH won this race on good in 2023 so I don't think going or trip are big issues. He beat Lossiemouth soundly in the Christmas hurdle so he narrowly gets my vote.

CH cannot be odds-on over 20f. Also, he's this habit of fluffing one hurdle in every race; he fell the last time.

Just took a bit of 7/4 with 365 Its not just him that can miss the odd one Lossiemouth has fallen and then State Man fell when well clear at the last surely if he is 100% he wins.

Cant believe Constitution Hill is odds against. Lossiemouth may have won v easily but Constitution Hill comes here fresh

A 1.12 lay of Constitution Hill not in the first 3 is very tempting

Easy win or tenderly handled if errors

This looks like being a close race between the Top 2 in the betting. If it is close then Lossiemouth wins. Take a bow Nico for screwing another big race up.

Can see him running very free and will have to surely make his own running. Couldn't back it personally.

Nico was abysmal there. Awful positioning and had him with no daylight when it came to the crunch. That was shocking.

Very poor throughout from Boinville, then yanked the horse to the outside and unsettled him then falls.
