I would never condone kicking someone in the head, however having seen he punched a female officer in the face, it appears he got his come uppence.

The hooligans where throwing wild and dangerous punches at women. Both policewoman ended up in hospital. One with a badly broken nose and very bad black eyes. Policeman gives him a taste of his own medicine and they then cry like babies. Notice they didn't release all the footage them selves as they were swinging away like mad men moments before. Ohhhh its so bad, we should be allowed to smash womens faces in ad throw wild punches at the police and they shouldn't be able to touch us. It's so unfair, booooo hooooo. |

One of the clips, I presume before it all kicked off, showed the family asking one of the coppers a question, and you can sense his...how shall I put this... his disrespect (?) for them by the way he speaks to them. Others must have noticed this too?

To think that in any situation it is acceptable for anyone (never mind a policeman who is nothing more than a citizen in uniform) to be kicking a stricken person in the head, beggars belief.
Well, if it's ever you acey deucy or someone to close to you who suffers at the hands of police brutality, let's see what you think about it then, because if they get away with this, they're going to feel emboldened by it. That police officer needs making an example of, imo. |

The copper who kicked the thug (scum) who was lying prone deserved every disciplinary action coming his way for losing his cool as a police officer in the extreme of conditions carrying out his professional dury ie arresting a thug (scum) who threw several punches at police officers in particular the female police officer who was also doing her duty. I believe the female police officer broke her nose as a result of the punch.
Personally, I sincerely hope the thug (scum) who created this incident/disturbance is brought to court regardless of any possible injury incurred in the incident. He must be charged with deliberately assaulting a police officer carrying out her professional duty in an arrest. Whether this thug (scum) suffers severe brain damage as a result of the kicking by the now suspended officer must be charged regardless as he was the principal cause of this incident/disturbance at ManChester Airport. This thug (scum) has no respect for authority; hitting a female police officer carrying out her professional duty is the lowest of the low from a male (thug/scum). And, as for those "opportunity" seekers protesting outside Rochdale police station need to look at themselves in the mirror, then decide whether they are want to live in the UK or go back to the motherland of their parents; their action was wrong, disrespectful, racist and reprehensible to the average resident of the UK who are law abiding and respectful to police officers who are doing their duty in public. Any person who chooses to assault a public figure ie deliberately hurting a female police officer carrying out her professional duty in public is sh1t and not conducive to the everage resident of the UK. His upbringing must be sh1t too to behave in this manner. Shocking, absolutely shocking a male thug (scum) can behave in this manner against a female police officer carrying out her duty in public. I hope this male (thug/scum) gets all he deserves including what GOD/Allah deems necessary. |

I was totally appalled and incensed at what I saw last night on BBC News. How'd a male (thug/scum) do that to a female police officer was beyond belief or comprehension.
To be perfectly honest I'd have done the same in that instance eg lost my professional etiquette if a female colleague had been subjected to the same assault. The male thug (scum) was totally out of order. This thug (scum) would have stabbed (if in possession of a knife) or shot (in possession of a firearm) the police officers without a moment's hesitation. Once again it begs the question the "respect" the male community of this thug/scum have on females. A normal innocuous daily routine as police officers could lead to an incident as the Manchester Airport. It's no wonder dishonour killing is allowed and practised in this community. |

As I said in the opening post, puts it in a different light from what we were being shown before, we probably all thought something had happened to provoke the police reaction but not as bad as that
Andy Burnham, mayor of Manchester, on tv saying that even last week he was saying that there was more to the story. He was having to tread a fine line between supporting his police force and not offending a community. He had obviously seen the now-released footage and police must have been desperate to let the public see it. It is claimed that it wasn't initially released in case it prejudiced any potential criminal prosecution. |

Assaulting police officers who are merely carrying out their public professional duty must be a no-no. An instant imprisonment a must if visual/video evidence clearly indicates that; no time delay to protect officers/individuals doing a professional public duty. |

These people don't respect our laws, our values and certainly not the police. Any body even a police officer will try to defend themselves when attacked and i expect most people would react as the police officer did. Who knows what would have happened if these were terrorists and got hold of a police officers weapon.

That statement is not quite right.............The powers of the police in England and Wales are defined by statute law, with the main sources of power being the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 and the Police Act 1996, just a bit different from being a UK citizen. |

The question that the IOPC will consider will be was the force used "Reasonable Force" and can the Officer justify his actions. The criteria being Self Defence, Defence of Another, Defence of Property, Prevention of Crime and Lawful Arrest.
Considering the environment and circumstances I would hope they would find the force to be reasonable in neutralising a serious threat to the civilians in the Airport given the attempt to get a hold of an officers weapon not to mention the assaults. Within the context of the situation imo the Officer was justified even if it looked overkill, I carried a weapon every day for years and in the same situation would have used any force necessary to neutralise the threat posed and it may well have been a lot more forceful. |

In the eyes of the law I don’t think reasonable force was there. He callously (or possibly even cowardly) kicked a bloke in the head while he was on the floor. I can’t fault him for that though, the bloke deserved it. He may get done if the letter of the law is followed. Possibly even publicly reprimanded while privately condoned.
I imagine it’s the same as a house owner giving a burglar a pasting after he’s left the premises. |

Would be very interesting to hear from the person on the plane who alledgedly said something to the mother in the headscarf that was their pathetic excuse for starting all of this. Why have the press not found him and asked the question? The fact that todays footage hasn't been shown til now absolutely stinks and in any normal country the copper would be back out there tdy but no, now we are becoming a Muslim country we have to put up with fighting with our hands tied these utterly vile people and their equally horrible cretin of a lawyer who is not fit to practice imo.

This is a copper I'd gladly donate to in a GoFundme for sticking up for a female colleague who was violently punched in the face by a thug/scum in broad daylight in a busy Airport concourse. This thug/scum has an intense hate/dislike for British coppers; totally disrespectful to women; totally disrespectful to British Law. A thug/scum in every sense.
I hope the thug/scum gets his comeuppance in the court of law, and the wisdom of Allah/God. This thug/scum is a danger to society esp women, and police officers in the streets of the UK. This thug/scum needs to be behind bars for a long period. I hope this thug/scum suffers behind bars, and any punishment dished out by Allah/God. |
