Like a former police chief said, if it was Leeds United fans kicking off they'd have been right in their batons, horses and all. Simply won't happen with the profile of the people involved the other day. The definition of two tier policing.

There is video of them manhandling a white blonde Yorkshire woman on the night. She was unhappy about those causing the riot, and arrested.

I believe the hands of the Police are tied, and would be more reluctant to not engage or intervene in any disturbance or riot if the perpetrators are foreigners for fear of upsetting the local ethnic population and their political representative in Parliament; their position could be compromised eg Mr Khan forced a change in the head of Metropolitan Police Force.
I believe one of the main impediments of integration is unwillingness or inability to communicate in a common language in public ie English, being UK Plc. For instance, the S Asians have been in the UK for decades much longer than others except the Windrush generation yet are very reluctant, unwilling or unable to communicate in English eg minicabs; corner shop; etc. Even those in major supermarkets like Tesco and Asda speak their own lingo openly on the floor; Waitrose and Sainsbury - do not though (I wonder why not). Because they mainly work within their own ethnicity and businesses. Credit where credit is due most of the newly arrived immigrants eg Romanians, Albanians, Afghanistanis and Iranians I know do try and speak English due to their work outside their own community. I think given time they'd pose a major challenge to the S Asians esp in retail as they are just as entrepreneurial but speak English. |

Whoever started the riot it should have been stopped by the police asap, and not allowed the rioters to run riot burning vehicles regardless. I wonder if the insurance companies will sue the police for any financial loss as the result of the police's ineffectiveness and delayed response in quelling the riot.
Will the police do the same again if another group of immigrants faced the same predicament with social workers? |

You were inferring that Romas- and just about any other nationality- are preferable to Pakistanis when it comes to foreign enclave areas, some would dispute that. Albanians are known primarily for criminality. I know one very

'saddo', that was not intentional. I was inferring to Romanians (not Romanian gypsies). However, by S Asians (I was referring mainly to Pakistanis), despite many decades in the UK will populate an area for their own benefits, and to exclude others (Pakistanis do not share, they take over); the locals obliged and assisted by relocating elsewhere. But, the newly arrived immigrants and illegals will challenge this. I know of a couple of Romanians who arrived just over 10 years ago. They not only spoke English, they integrated and worked as plumbers.
I also know of two Albanians - one is a (high) crane driver, the other a carpet fitter. Both are decent and speak English better than any Pakistani I've encountered. |

Pakistanis don't need to speak English to benefit from Britain. We provide them with translators, we print everything for them in Urdu, why bother.
More fool us. If you can't communicate in the native tongue you should get nothing. |

It wont be long and Labour will arrange for all these asylum seekers and econimic migrants to enter the UK legally ny normal transport and legitimate routes. Labour will fast track them and sanction virtually all of them to stay in the UK. Labour will arrange all their accomodation and meet all their needs too. Labour will legitimise all these people under the banner of saving lives in the channel, so obvious whats coming.
