no one cheering him on more than me but he does seems to be struggling getting them to relax under him at the moment.

5 runners no pace on...do you think she relaxes in front or should have been ridden further back for cover?

Think he was mindful of not giving Moore too much rope early on so moved up. At the same time Moore slowed it down. He was left in a bad spot then.

According to Tobymugs a good jockey Laugh

Mediocrity at best.

That was just plain unlucky tbf, he went left for a clear run but just as he did, the fav lugged left and into his path. You could argue a bit more composure and it would have opened nicely for him, but I like my jockeys to be proactive, not sit there like dummies hoping for something to happen.

Gutsy Girl came out the best filly at the weights, particularly considering her two rivals had the benefit of a recent run, but a Commonwealth Cup entry would appear to be fanciful on that evidence (connections paid the £3,250 second-stage fee to leave her in the Group One contest last week).

Shoemarks rides are not all unlucky, either he is a poor jockey or he has gone over to the dark side.

Some of those first time up seem to run like stink that one at Epsom on Friday bombed yes I know will be spot on for Ascot a scud up its arse and Shoey on fire couldn't have got that home perhaps Frankie would have mind you he was and still is special simply the best.

I think it's so unlike Mr Gosden running a horse with the formlines of God's Window in The Derby. I think the horse is at best a Listed or Gp 3 horse.

They were having a conversation on the barstewards podcast about these young trainers who come along and bang in the winners left, right and centre, but then what, was the gist of it? And Lee was going to say something about George Boughey, I'm not sure what, but I was anticipating it was going to be along the lines that maybe he hasn't kicked on following his Classic winner, as might have been expected?

I'll never know now because Lee was interrupted and the conversation changed course.

That was something else they asked, acey, has John taken a back seat and the training's being left to Thady?

Two very good questions...imv no back seat and any up and coming trainer put to the bluebloods these days would do much better than the old schoolers with their new methods...just my opinion and a few weeks training under WM with the magic carrots/apples no harm either lol ..

Too many strange things happening for Shoemark. Why did Isle of Lismore swerve and almost unseat him yesterday? If it was an isolated incident then it can happen to anyone but he has had too many for it to be just luck.

When: 11 Jun 24 17:53
Agreed...but then before he went to JG s he was able to get things looked home and hosed beat... imagine when confidence low everything and anything can go wrong ..maybe when stables form improves everything will click but i think he needs point and shoots at top of their form to win and even then id be reluctant to part with my usual mug bet money...

Yeah i agree ..RA will show if things turning around ...i too thought Ibspiral at 12/1 value in a race the ones at top of market had questins re current form/ground...
By:
sageform
When: 11 Jun 24 19:31
I think that you will find that Inspiral is favourite for the Queen Anne on Tuesday and 10/1 for the 10 furlong Prince of Wales on Wednesday. Unless the market has it badly wrong, she is likely to run in the Queen Anne. Not for me in either race as fillies/mares rarely hold their form at 5yo.

Oh you are right Sageform..my bad.. looking at wrong race sorry... same race as the Lockinge so just under different conditions..yeah i wouldnt be a backer at 3 or 4/1 tbh in a near identical race.. Rab gave Audience a pace maker ride and stayed on ..Charyn only one to try mount a challenge ...think id have Charyn to reverse and swap Audience/Inspiral places in the market but yeah i see your point re fillies ..i never trust them unless on a roll etc can run sequenceif happy in a motherly way ..etc form can be up and down
..

Emily Upjohn.. i backed Luxembourg tbh smallish..never trust fillies that much..Sword was the horse to follow from that day for JG for me...all the runners round it in that race too ones to follow for me ...
