£47, you only need to make £77 to be on the average UK after-tax salary for sitting on yer arse all day, so you're nearly there.

Rico- don't know you personally, only on this forum but I believe you don't talk trash and won the dollar you say but you've always moved with the times, surely there's a better way today then mopping up what's left. Just my opinion not trying to teach what you probably already know.

Swifty- I find it incredible that punters with 40 years gambling experience won't bet on exchange because its not BOG but moan they can only get pennies on with the high street.
By:
Rico-Dangleflaps
When: 11 Apr 24 03:35
reg..nowt been slowed..the gps is feeding the bot with info.. acceleration/deceleration and its ahead of the drone..its ok ish if you want to bet before 3f out..after that this week has went to a level i never thought was possible..virtually every match i get last 2f is under a quid..things evolve and IR certainly has.

Mr.Hunt is like me (i'm guessing) ladycarla...

wouldn't go down the GPS route personally coz it doesn't get his juices flowing just doing stuff coz a computer tells him to do it...

apologies to Mr.Hunt if i've got that wrong but there are actually some folk out there who like the thrill of being better than other folk/bots...

and using a BOT/GPS (whatever you want to call it) just doesn't float their boat...

even if it meant making a profit out of it.
By:
HappyHibby
When: 11 Apr 24 07:53
if someone offered me FREE GPS for 12 months and half a dozen lessons thrown in i'd turn it down...

doesn't interest me in the slightest...

if i can't make a profit with my own eyes and brain then i'm not going to bother...

and if things carry on like they have been recently i'll be calling it a day...

not something i want to do and it has something i have been close to doing in the past...

but i ain't sitting around wasting my life for the sake of a few £ here and there...

forget it.

Cheers for the reply, Wazza
I don't play to your levels but still only get involved in jumps racing and even then only in/out, back to lay, before the last 2 or 3 obstacles

Talking of things evolving, I went to the Edinburgh exchange shop about 20 or more years ago? Think it may have been the first one but you'll know if that's the case...
Went up from Somerset for a week, managed to cover travel and hotel etc expenses but that was it... No gruss back then.

That's a coincidence, was typing about Edinburgh and come back to a Hibby post...

A I missing something? Is GPS faster than drone or the same thing? Just got confused reading some posts

no experience of it at all Reg so i can't help you at all there tbh...

not sure if Mr.Hunt is saying Betfair uses GPS to guide their in running markets or not tbh ?

and that is why the markets are so thin now ?

all i know is that if i can't make a decent profit using BLV and my two eyes and one brain then i'll be going in the near future...

not prepared to sit here all day for peanuts i'm afraid.
By:

Cheers Hibby, yeah I also only use BLV

I have been doing better on football and other sports for a while now anyway

Also people learn (unlike FOBT players) and realise they are playing with major disadvantage.

In early days of in-running, I tried an experiment of leaving lays in the place market at about 2/3 of price with the hope that if I got more than 2/3 of horses bet, I'd be in profit. I had no idea of the 8 sec delay and on the forum commented my amazement that several horses had bets taken even before the stalls opened! Of course Rico (in previous guise) educated me with one of his ysdc replies. The experiment was destined to fail but I didn't lose too much. These days you are only liked to be laid on the three places and maybe a couple of others in a 14 runner field.

Sums up Betfair a good idea has been savaged by people's (including Betfair) hunger for unfair advantage.

good stuff Reg...

horse racing is definitely coming to the end of it's shelf-life in running wise...

been on a downward spiral for a number of years now...

drones and this GPS bollox has made things a hell of a lot harder for me i know that much...

no matter who is using it...

but nowt lasts forever and if it's the end of the road for me then so be it...

i've lasted longer than i expected anyway tbh.

One of the reasons I got out of online Poker Happy. Even the bad players got good over time! When solvers and AI took over, bots became unbeatable, particularly heads upShocked.

New advancing AI is not to be underestimated. It will make everything automated eventually, and most money will fall into a select few (not that it hasn't already) Plain. Then the problems arise!

Reminds me of this new song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3QuyNcOWDQ

We had that Golden Time, now what?!!!!

everything has a shelf life imv Trident...

especially in IT...

AI will just turn in running in to a computer game for those who want to go down that road imv...

it most certainly ain't for me tho...

i'll happily just walk away and crack on with the rest of my life...

plenty of gardening to do...

DIY stuff i can crack on with...

as i've said many times before...

after being at the wedding i have no intention of hanging around for the funeral...
