Jonbon's best runs  have been with a more forceful ride and making its mind up at the fence, Bowen just likes to sit on a horse and not move his hands.

He won't be riding Jonbon again I think we can all agree on that.

I mean it's a shame as it could have been the best Day in the young lads life he bolts up in the Grade 2 earlier but everybody is talking about the Train Wreck on Johnbon.

wd acey..how much you win laying the jockey putting on a horror show?  now this is why you're making an utter cnt of yourself..if i thort a jockey on a long odds chance was riding a horror show i'd have won £10,000..it was 1.1 approaching the last..

how much did you lay? of course ,absolutely fck all.

Hendo is running 3 in the 2.35pm at Doncaster; he must like the ground a lot to run 3. Has Bowen be allocated the right horse ie Maries Rock; 2.36 shortie here.

Question- if you owned Johnbon would you be happy to let young Bowen ride again next time?
By:

When: 28 Jan 24 14:10
I think it looked a poor ride considering he is number two for the biggest team in the country…

A crime Mark Walsh did not get the ride,JP & Berry would have been happy to see Walsh on it but couldn’t override his trainer imo….just went along with Henderson

You can have an opinion about what could have happened with another jockey up but how can you possibly be sure that the horse wouldn't have made the same mistakes?
Unless you have a crystal ball

that would mean we could never have an opinion on a beaten ride by a jockey

I heard an ex champ say there is a big difference between a jockey and a‘horseman’ the dealer….

Feel the one sided criticism is based on opinions already haven been made , it's a team effort to jump well , get around safely then hopefully win the race , that applies to every ride in my mind.

On this occasion criticism distributed as follows......

Bowen  100%
Jonbon  0%

jonbon never been the best of jumpers but even when jumping over a 100 in public has never not managed to clear the board below the brush, just saying

apart from getting in close to 2 or 3 its jumped/travelled fine..totally mis judged the 4th last which has cost it an easy win. Bowen done nothing wrong..absolute pocket talk nonsense.

explain where im wrong ?

He atoned there on Maries Rock. It could have gone either way. I think both times Bowen asked for a "jump" from Maries Rock she mis-jumped; she jumped beautifully when allowed to jump on her own accord. Similar to Jonbon yesterday perhaps.
