His display throughout was brilliant but what was even more impressive was the way he handled the defeat, which must have hurt pretty bad, from a sporting perspective. Showed maturity and class beyond his years.

Whats not to like even in defeat he was an absolute Gentleman.

fine margins but in the end couldn't live with opponents 180 scoring which as I said he hadn't faced before.

Trident , it's a comment from the type of punter who thinks there's a conspiracy in everything as soon as their ticket is thrown in the bin , the betting gods conspire against them personally.
Have to say as well they'll be horse racing and soccer punters in general and two sports that are almost impossible to make money pre-event. |

Only suspect was the moronic booing….

It’s all pantomime booing, Lochy. No malice in it.

Interesting game must admit - just when he had victory there the youngster bottled it. Which was somewhat surprising as he shows little (no pun) nerves mostly in this tournament.
The missed double for 5-2 will always be in his head, though he will have many chances to redeem of course. |
|
By:
I hadn’t realised Humphries only won two more legs than Littler.
That double two was unfortunate. Would’ve been one hell of a game had it gone in. |
|
By:
Never quite sure what bottled it means stu as there must be a fine line between so called bottling and just missing the shot.
His " bottle " was never queried before and could be he just wasn't good enough to finish the double at that moment. Fine lines though i agree ![]() Estimated earnings now set to hit £40 million now predicted by experts. We'll find out at 4pm whether he's in the Thursday Premier League. |
|
By:
yeah very harsh stu. He showed amazing mental strength at all times for me. Just met a monster.

By:
Proper shape and learned the fist and nodding the head after a checkout
Miss the **** and beer in the sport tho….. |
|
By:
slightly harsh perhaps, though he would have known it almost a winning dart to hit as a double, missed it, then couldn't find the game that he'd shown the rest of the tournament, got slammed for rest of the match, so not overly harsh to say his bottle went at least partly in the later part of the game.

kid lands a premier league spot. as predicted.
|
|
By:
imagine if he hadn't. was 1.01 to land. way too much exposure, let alone talent, with this kid. fair play to him.

2/5 with Hills earlier

mistook what u were saying stu. Thought u meant he had missed the double two through pressure. I do agree that knocks just about everyone back. With hindsight that would have been the moment to back Humphries and it did cross my mind but computer was already off.

the kid is superb but might have ran out of gas a bit too. long format and long days. humphries is in peak shape and looked like he would probably start playing even better if they ran it again straight away.

Yes not sure how much they take Angela , didn't try but for me probably £1

Poast your birth certificate.

I did wonder too about his age and maturity. Then I thought it's the UK, and a local. Nevertheless, do not judge a book by its cover still leaves me with lingering doubts.
|
|
By:
If that birth certificate wasn't kosher someone would have exposed it by now impossible.
Out of his £200k prize money he's been deducted £83,533 by the government |
|
By:
'Hayden', easy come, easy go. I'm sure many here would not be disgruntled or upset if in receipt of that amount of dosh in one go (for work). Also, feel the amount deducted could be reclaimed in the event of non-activity/non-income for a period of time.
Well done and good luck to the young lad. He's deserved it! |
|
By:
Agree and sure he's receiving some financial advice on how to make the most of his current popularity , already has a car sponsorship deal and an estimated £40 million to be thrown at him all in good time.
Agree best of luck to him and wish him well ![]() |

The birth certificate shouldn’t really be needed as proof anyway. If this was some elaborate scam then hundreds if not thousands of people would have to be complicit. Only the fruitcakes didn’t believe.
