i appear (through no fault of my own) to have put on a pound or two in the last few weeks...

and i was wondering if anyone had any diet tips ?

i might start jogging but my knees are a bit dodgy so it might not be the best of ideas...

and with christmas coming up i don't want anyone suggesting i do some Santa Claus work over he festive period...

thank you.

2 bowls at each meal time Hibby and a couple of extra bowls when you're extra peckish. You'll lose a fair few pounds but you'll also lose all your family or flatmates.

Diet is far more important and affective that running etc.

Low calorie, high protein and fibre.

Get down the gym and pump some iron.

By:

There is a site called Calorie Calculator.

Go on there and fill out the information.

It will tell you how many calories you can have per day to either put weight on, stay as you are, or lose weight.

Then count the calories you eat each day via an app called My Fitness Pal.

Takes a few days to get your head around it.

But in no time you'll be fine.

The thing with "fad diets" is that they are not sustainable.

Just a quick fix.

The easy way:
High fat diet – no carbs. Eat as much meat and fish as you like, guaranteed to lose weight.
But no carbs. That includes fruit, and alcohol.

Or the opposite, all carbs and no fat. Veg oil is fat, and all animal products and fish are fat.

Both diets work to lose weight quickly.

The high fat diet will give you heart disease. As it did with it's main promoter Dr Robert Atkins. Author of The Atkin's Diet.
But not in the short term.

The high carb diet consisting of mainly starch, is sustainable. Add a bit of fruit and veg.
You'll be fine.
