TM, If you don't aftertime, I'd be thinking there was something wrong with you. You certainly wouldn't be welcome on this forum.

OK, I'll start the ball rolling.... last 3 months.  Football: £13.04.

Stewarty b went quiet - having promised he would stick to one thread only, if I put up a £5k bet.

We've given each other a mutual wide-berth ever since.

So, I'll tell you what Unlucky - you stick up your last 3 months - and if your football profit is bigger than mine, I'll never post again! Obviously, you would have to crawl back under your rock and never post again if yours is a wiener.

Your move big-man.

Its EXACTLY like a Stewarty B thread Mischief

Ok - so you think I am stewartyb? - so now lets see if you are me.

Stick £5k on Celtic to win the Scotish Prem at 1.15 (it won't get matched obviously)

That is what he asked me to do (with Man City), I declined until he promised no more threads.

When he agreed no more threads, I put the £5k bet up. He welched (but we came to an understanding).

Your turn - leave the £5k up overnight and I'll apologise to you when I see it in the morning.

I wasn't his biggest fan at the time! - but given that all the portal, 3 months P&L, bets/ etc are easily faked - I thought the £5k bet thing was quite ingenious of him.

He called my bluff and he lost. I'm calling your bluff and you're gonna run away!

Given that you clearly don't like me and you have nothing to lose (but an apology to gain) - there's only one reason you wouldn't do it really.

Scottish Premiership Winner 2022/23: Celtic @ 1.15 (actual "correct" price is 1.06/1.07) - If you're gonna call me a cnt, make it £10k - surely you'd like me to stop posting?
By:
swiftynifty
When: 19 Feb 23 23:23
I never quite got that. Stewyb is a guaranteed long term loser who gets funds from other sources, certainly not from betting , he runs a mile when the portal is mentioned.
By:
The Management
When: 19 Feb 23 23:26
He welched when I put up my £5k bet on City (I think I got him to agree never to post again and we bargained it down to only on one thread) - but he's alright. Keeps it nearly all on the one thread these days tbf.

Lol so you want me to put up 5k because you done ya brains on this thread? Weird logic Excited
By:
The Management
When: 20 Feb 23 07:24
Done my brains? - so far I've put up three (level stakes) bets on three (average price) 3/1 pokes.

My original objective was to have a bit of fun with some (meaningless) stats - but (as with every selection thread I have ever started) I will record the P&L accurately, win, lose or draw). If anybody worthwhile wants to post or join in that would be a bonus and a few have done so.

Then you came along - and I developed a secondary objective - to expose you as a potless nobody or better still, to have you expose yourself as a potless nobody..

You have been a lot more obliging than my selections - but I'd wager you have some past experience of exposing yourself.Shocked

There's still time for you to prove you're not a potless nobody - it would take you 10 seconds and cost you nothing and we both know you dislike me enough that you would do it if you could.

Thank you Foyles. I enjoy your threads/posts very much because we are often focussed on the same races (Flat, non-H/caps with a short prices jolly). I have to admit, your lack of punctuation sometimes makes my eyes bleed! - but then again (apparently) I use far too much, so perhaps we could team up! Grin

Sorry - shoulda said - short priced jolly to oppose!

Don't want people thinking we are fav backers Shocked
By:

When: 20 Feb 23 10:04
yeah reading back on my threads i have to stop and take a breath , ill try harder wi the punctuation ,  for years my eyes and thoughts  were drawn to the 1st few in the betting and for years i did my bollax backing that way . now 1st thoughts are to find reasons to oppose the front of the market and hopefully find a bit of value in the bigger prices.
By:
The Management

ditto Foyles. If something is taking a huge % chunk out of any market, it would be rude not to check as a starting point if that % is fully justified or not (imo). Sure you can get ricks and value at odds-on/evens too - but the majority playing those short odds (especially in context of horses) would probably be better off playing roulette (imo), i.e. still losing slowly. I don't mind an odds on or even a very long odds-on from time to time in snooker, politics, etc - but horses, by their very nature, it's just not for me! Same as you, I see it as an opportunity to explore the alternatives.

No worries about your punctuation - it's mostly because my eyes are shot without glasses and glasses give me a headache after no time. Catch 22. GL.

The thing with games that  'scream goals' - it's often the case that it's only the one side that screams goals and not the other.
One side is doing all the heavy lifting whilst the other is playing save ar4e.
By:
The Management
When: 20 Feb 23 11:13
Agreed leif - that kinda hits the nail on the head for me - you need to believe that both teams will be playing for you and contributing. Your Ligue 1 game yesterday was inspired and I thank you - because I had no intention of playing it (had to go out), until you posted.

All the "obvious" stuff is priced accordingly, because it's obvious! Often only one team is interested in crossing the half-way line, while the other parks the bus. Sure they might still win 4 or 5 to nil. The bus parkers might concede early and the game opens up, the bus parkers might score first and the game opens up, etc. - but games that "scream goals" often just get a line put through them here.

I forgot to say (breathe a sigh of relief) - I've got nothing for today or tonight.

Played a few obscure football side markets where despite going in-play liquidity is so poor that you are in it till the death (for your whole fiver) Shocked but putting any of those up as a selection would be pointless and invalid.

On the ante-post front - I was willing to lay Celtic to win the SPL at up to about 1.15 - but no liquidity there either. WinkLaugh

Until such time as your bum-chum and fellow time-wasting moron (UnluckyForSome) proves to me that he is not a pot-less nobody, I probably won't be posting any more of my much anticipated and loved stats based gems.

It would have taken him 10 seconds and cost him nothing -  But he seems to have gone very, very quiet! Shocked

Maybe you could hi-jack the thread? It's only -3.00 running total at the moment, so it's off to a flying start in context of all your previous efforts! BlushLaugh
