although it finished third 3/4L behind a horse [second] that turned out and won yesterday.

You'll have factored that in no doubt?

The Bochum match was (like last nights match) a bit grim - it sparked into life (all too late) after the first goal on 39 minutes and the 2nd goal (on 52 minutes) gave a chance to trade out at 1.60 (I didn't and never really intended toCry). Could still have traded out for nothing just before the red card (on 63 minutes), at which point the suspend-monkey decided to leave the market suspended for 20 minutes.

Running total = -2.00

Lief - well done with the Gladrags/Bayern - A winner is a winner but I couldn't bet it at 1.44. Not sure if I understood your Villa/Arsenal post correctly, I thought you were saying the price was about right, so no bet? - but well done if you did back the overs.

Fartonyerface - well done with Celtic, they were about 1/6, so I don't know how you pick them! Unlucky with Rangers (but I feel sure you would have greened-up!) and well done with Villa/Arsenal - you are (as ever) a post match genius! When I get to -2000, I might PM you for some advice Wink

To be fair - it's almost impossible to lose if you go martingale with unlimited (pretend) resources. But nice to see you finally get one right (prior to them showing the replay).

The Management (meaningless) Stat Of The Day© today = I tried but I can't actually manipulate or cherry pick any stats (meaningless or meaningful) to justify this one!

However, I'm having one last spin on the Bundesliga Over 3.50 goals! CryLaugh With Union Berlin v Schalke. I have laid Under 3.50 at 1.26, which for accounting purposes is roughly the equivalent of backing Over 3.50 goals at 4.80.

My key rationale is that Schalke are f'king shocking! Winning just 1 from their last 20 in all formats, 1 from their last 14 in the League and also just 4 from their last 39 in the League.

The clincher is that their last 3 games have all finished 0:0 and (assuming some kind of early action) they are due another damn good thrashing whilst still being perfectly capable of scoring themselves if the game does open up!

For sure, it looks like a game where the naysayers and after-timers should be able to gloat afterwards (0:0 is a mere 8/1 poke!) - but if by any chance the game should "open up", 4.80 looks a very fair price.
By:
leif
When: 19 Feb 23 14:21
Schalke have scored just 14 goals all season.
Could have a tonking but then again Berlin may just coast to a 2/3-0 win.
By:
The Management
When: 19 Feb 23 14:30
And just 6 of those away from home leif - I did say that I couldn't find any data/stats to manipulate, in order to justify the bet!!

But I stand by the price being very fair. It will likely need some early action because like all these type of  games, the time of the first goal (if there even is one! Grin) will probably determine the shape of the game. The likelihood of a damp squid (sic) game is more than priced-in imo.
By:
The Management
When: 19 Feb 23 15:26
Been in and out so not paying much attention - but I did notice the 0:0 was down to just 7/2 on here after 30 minutes! - so probably fair to assume that even fartyfaces groin area has seen more "action" than the spectators of this game Cry

Market 3 Management 0 (unless Lazarus strikes).

FOOTBALL BETTING IS FOR MUGS

* although I admit it took me 20 years to finally accept this!
By:

Schalke one shot in anger. Will get a nosebleed if there's a point in sight.

Only one game that interests me is the Toulouse v Marseille game.
Marseille tonked 'em 6-1 in the reverse fixture.

Both sides to score.
XG is 4.1 on my card.

over 2.5 @1.75
over 3.5 @2.92
may have another over 4.5@5.8.

swifty I would argue that ALL betting is for mugs - in the context that 99% are losers.

But I take issue with singling out football - the maths/numbers are no different to other sports. i.e. pricing errors are rare, especially in the mainstream (as I am in the process of proving here! Laugh) - but if you can find them, then football is no different from any other medium/market.

in football the games that shout goals don't have goals, the meanest defence games have a hatful, quite frankly it's all guesswork, of course you get lucky now and again but it's all a pin job.

Lucky pin!

I was out, so thankfully couldn't trade the above (which was nice!) Grin - but it has cost me a bit on the Over 2.5 First Half Goals in the Dortmund game and that was a much bigger bet at 1.22 average Sad

Please forgive the after-timing - but it seems to be the done thing on here!!

That aside, the Running Total is: -3.00

Stewarty b went quiet - having promised he would stick to one thread only, if I put up a £5k bet.

We've given each other a mutual wide-berth ever since.

So, I'll tell you what Unlucky - you stick up your last 3 months - and if your football profit is bigger than mine, I'll never post again! Obviously, you would have to crawl back under your rock and never post again if yours is a wiener.

Your move big-man.
