Why did they send ambulances?  Did they think they were going to revive her?  Surely they have better equipped vehicles for picking up corpses?  That vehicle will have been out of action elsewhere for a whole day and would need extensive cleaning and hygiene attention afterwards.
And if anybody feels this is harsh ask the ambulance staff how they felt about it.

This is what happens on twitter and then before you know it - what somebody said on twitter somehow on the "real" news.

Then before you know it a load of politicians will be on twitter lambasting the ambulance service.

Modern life is good!

"Sadly, the discovery was not found in the river but in the reeds at the side of the river which was not part of our remit as the side scan sonar does not penetrate reeds above or below the water.

So the sonar guys said they could eliminate anything in clear water, surely knowing that all the search should have been concentrated on the borders.

Police  at fault for making this a story in the first place. Vulnerable person ( no other words ) would have cut interest massively. Unless it was an accident ( highly unlikely ) she made it a story. OK I accept she was ill so not blaming her.    ( for  no dog ,no phone especially "live" phone , no kids to school , no phoning /text to friends social dates ) Then the boyfriend said she was not in the river. Faulding didn't find her. And the family want help but keep our mouths shut ffs.

I always believed the Police story(which was correct) which that she was in the river backed up by evidence that all surrounding CCTV had been looked at and she never moved out of that area.
Then we need to know if she was picked up by a boat or fell in.
I never took notice of the ticktockers or so called experts.
It's all about probability.
I just cannot understand how they wasn't a walk by hundreds of officers of the river banks and filter points along the side of the river.
What matters is that Nicola has been found and her family and friends can have closure.
The Police did got it right and let's hope Nicola can now be left to rest in peace.

After the furore re: the Police Press Conferences and Statements ...

You would have thought they would have found somebody more communicative than the wooden woman (Detective Inspector) who just read out the family statement.

Sounded as if she had not even read the statement through before making it public - No flow, no pauses to make a point, no emphasis either ...

- and does not even know how to pronounce - 'Privacy'

And if the sonar cannot pick up a body in a hanging dead tree you have to look there. One or two officers. See Rico's picture earlier in thread.

A spiritual medium (lower inset) found the body of mother-of-two Nicola Bulley (top left). Jason Rothwell (right), 33, was seen in pictures pointing to the waters (left) where Lancashire Police massed yesterday afternoon. He and his friend, who MailOnline have cross-referenced to social media presence, spoke to police who later retrieved the body.

this bloke will now be inundated with people wanting readings at a name your price,if he was any good wouldnt he have found her 1st day?
