Ken is an easy target but the Racing Punditry Gravy Train has many more unworthy types than our Ken. Don't upset the applecart cardinal as these posters have been loyal to this thread and its cause for years now. ![]() |

I have said nothing Against the Man Sparrow , I did mention one of his horses Going Bezerk on way to the Start after Ken had said it looked well in the Paddock

Sparrow is Betfairs Mr Woke, he thinks this thread is about racism!!!
![]() ![]() ![]() |

By:
I'm not obsessed about racism unlike you DG. Woke and racism seem to be the first words you think of.
|
|
By:
They are when I see you on a thread!!!
|
|
By:
Can you show me where I raised the matter of racism? It is you DG who brings the word up and maybe there is a reason for that.

nothing against the bloke, sure he is an excellent paddock judge, down as working for william hill radio and itv, but how can ken warrant being up for broadcaster of the year against,
lydia hislop john hunt nick luck jamie lynch stewart machin rishi persad I suppose Ken Pitterson has no greater claim to "broadcaster of the year" than any other - but if "broadcaster of the year" 2021 was judged on elocution, I can't imagine that Ken Pitterson's "Estuary English" won the prize. On the other hand, broadcasters can always rely on potty-mouth John Hunt. Please don't tell me he won it.. |

Quite apart from his run of the mill day job just what use is this anybody and his/her "paddock" comments at Royal Ascot?
Seriously. If thee is a horse at Royal Ascot that doesn;t look the biz.,.................it shouldn't be there. What exactly is any "paddock" observer going to tell us that will firmly indicate what is going to win the race? You have to laugh at how pathetic terrestrial racing tv has become. |

Francesca Cumani seems to do a decent
job commenting on horses in parade ring. Seems somewhat obvious, imo, that there's room for a bit of chat between the two of them from time to time, see if they agree or differ , test their opinions. |
|
By:
The two negatives from paddock inspection from our Ken fight out the finish of the Queen Mary Stakes.

a paddock judges job is to give an opinion on the condition of a horse.
it doesn't mean the horse wont win. what exactly is the point in posting on this thread every day of the week? |
|
By:
Grey horses are hard to assess for fitness in the paddock according to Ken.
|
|
By:
ken rarely wrong imo

my prospero for ken in the big one

Some big horses .... apparently !

Thought that was a more interesting chat, with him being led.
He might be right, or not, as there's no counter from the lass. She's got her favourites... Fecking tell us then, have the debate with Ken. |

big lad,this lad

Gerald Delamere was the best paddock judge and race reader i have ever known

How come no one mentioned that he tipped up Triple Time at 33s and Inspiral in the opening race of Ascot yesterday ? or do the haters all skip that sort of result ?
|
|
By:
I don't think most people hate his segment (some do) ...it just seems a bit fake and un-necessary
|
|
By:
...a bit wokey ?
|
|
By:
I find it interesting.
But, would like to see some discussion. Francesca pointing out adayar was not impressive in comparison to some of the others looked to be backed up before race. It's good when they point out these things as we often only see them together in the race. Ken seems able to point out if a horse looks fitter than last time.... That's obviously a useful talent, and would be a massive help If we knew he knew. |
|
By:
Awaal , Astro King , Bear Force One and Koy Koy as positives. Just in case .
|
|
By:
He "tipped up"? How many others in the race did he say looked well?

The horse who had the massive lob on would have been a huge paddock negative, and won the Prince Of Wales's doing hand stands.
