It's weird but I find some sky tracks (jumps) not that bad to play if the pics are smooth.

You'll never actually know the true odds of an event...but the true odds are going up approx 1.5s ahead of what we are seeing things imo.
So either someone is beating the delay and we are 1.5s back or we are 2.5s and they are not beating the delay. A couple of examples Ling recently where stuff is 1.01 not in front. |

I think most people that play in running regularly can tell roughly how delayed their pics are from day to day. This is probably why the liquidity in last half of atr races is decreasing.

Then add to this those putting the new odds up will of had to negotiate a 1S delay too. 5f run time 1m. 12 second furlongs. 1second therefore 20yd 2seconds is 40yd, aka miles behind. Its hard to argue with someone that has made a cushty living from the game. To say you are seeing what is happening 1s later is kind too. |

Think its pretty universal that 1 sec = approx 6 lengths i believe a length is approx 9 feet hence approx 18 yards per second.

dumb is a grossly offensive term for a person of limited intelligence because it refers to those who are totally or partially deaf and are unable to pick up the language surrounding them, which is how we all acquire speech. it was wrongly assumed non-speakers were stupid, so it is a term shunned by all right-thinking people.

The English word 'dumb' originally meant only 'mute'. The reason it came to mean 'stupid' as well was from the influence of all the German and Dutch speakers in the States. The German word 'dumm' means only 'stupid' ('mute' is 'stumm' in German - a completely separate word).
So, 'dumb' didn't come to mean 'stupid' because of making fun of mute people. It happened because English speakers in the States adopted a German word which happened to sound the same as the English word 'dumb'. The phrase 'poor dumb animals' doesn't mean they're stupid - just that they can't speak. |
