No HH
The contract with each individual course. There has never been one provider tangibly superior to the other before....there is now |
By:
oh the contract between individual racecourses and individual broadcasters is different dusty...
i presume Northern Racing and ARC own a fair amount of ATR tracks... can't see them jumping ship anytime soon... so what tracks does that leave...??? Ascot.. who owns Doncaster...? i know Betfair would never do what i'd like them to do... they'd rather just sign a contract with ATR and provide complete $hite on a daily basis and expect us to be happy with it. |
By:
Well the conglomerates will just be made to look stupid if they dont move over for streaming rights given the evidence.
Ofc if they are presented with the evidence then RMG/Phenix or whoever it is supplying the superior one can use it as marketing, that they created the product that minimises cheating and certain people refused it...why? But the way enterprise normally works is the provider of the s hitty ATR stream themselves are forced to up their game in case they lose market share. |
By:
The Ascot rights were due to expire at the end of this year, but sadly for us, the deal with ATR was extended in August until 2024.
By:
didn't know that about Ascot jack...
dreadful news. good luck if you think ATR will speed up and be much more stable any time soon dusty... can't see me still being here whan that happens tbh. |
By:
well you've just been given over half the tracks with a speed boost
If you cant profit from that scenario then I dont know what it would take |
By:
RTV still has to be speeded up so that it makes a 'real' difference imv...
yes it's been speeded up a bit (kempton and chelmsford apart for some strange reason)... but the last bit is important to more or less knock out the facetime dregs of humanity types... i live in hope. |
By:
Someone hit the nail on the head for me...apart from tracks where we are getting plenty fixtures IE your Wolves/Southwells and Kemps the streaming has on the whole been very good?
By:
you think Ascot was very good today....?
i must have been watching the dud stream all day then. |
By:
1.01 man got plenty in first on the photo at Southwell there...must be all the compound interest 29k at 1.01 on opening the photo!
By:
Sammarr 1.04 when in 6th lingfield 1pm race
Sky tracks an absolute joke |
By:
Mr.Hunt will tell you we are 1.5 secs behind 'live' james...
i just hope by now everyone knows that is a load of rollox...???? i doubt it tho. |
By:
Whilst all that is true, looking at the replay there really isn't a great deal of time between "that's starting to finish" and "that's won!"
By:
^^ that was to jamesdean.
By:
That winner was odds on as they straightened up on my screen, maybe 8 lengths behind the front 2 and behind the Queen's horse which was going just as well.
I suggest the pics are at least 4 secs off live today, unless the thin markets see the rapid drop in price by a 'genuine' punter with a view. |
By:
It's every other race now ged, on the sky aw tracks. The winner being very short odds on when not even in the front 3 or 4 and looking
at least odds against in some cases It would be interesting to watch the race and betting back on one of those videos a few used to do Agree swifty, something has changed for the worse last few weeks |
By:
jamesdean, that was one of the worst I've noticed recently, although Lingfield's not really a late play track for
in-running betting, even with a much smaller delay. |
By:
Agree with above.
Either the coverage is not 1.5s behind or someone is beating the 1s delay. Same on my screen, winner represents 1.04 approx 1.5-2s later on my screen, add the bet delay. Who am I to say what price something should be but 1/25 when it was is really all the evidence you need its miles behind. |
By:
Agree swifty, something has changed for the worse last few weeks
------------------------------------------------------------------ aye. it's got slower. yet some on here still try and convince others that it's 1.5 behind live and always has been. thank god i have a brain and two eyes. |
By:
HappyHibby, what with the delay and then the fact you really need to 'self harm' by adding in a further delay to try and get through the whole race unstuttered and not blank screened, ATR tracks for the sensible are unplayable. And that's 60% of all UK races, or it used to be about that number.
By:
it's not 60% ATR swifty...
but i agree with your other comments... which is why i continually say that Betfair should scrap ATR tracks. they have become pointless pretty much for most BLV folk sat at home. asking folk to play with slow / unreliable pics is poor imv. |
By:
Hibby
If they stopped ATR tracks that would be a large portion of my profit gone and I aint doing anything wrong or front ending the market. |
By:
i understand that dusty...
and you must be very good making profits at these tracks right now so i applaud you for that... but everyone i speak to is struggling big time especially at these ATR tracks. slow / unreliable pics that are costing Betfair a fortune... the only way you will get faster / reliable pics is to tell ATR to f off and scrap the current contract. but we both know that won't happen so you'll be fine dusty. i've made many suggestions to Betfair over the years... and i can assure you absolutely none of them have been adopted. |
By:
Im not being self indulgent, Im simply saying if I can win off LV then what justification is there really for BF to cut their nose off?
By:
It's the sky/atr all weather tracks that have become a joke, jumps still seem ok although obviously could and should be faster.
Linfgield and wolver aw, there's something not right there |
By:
and i'm saying if you can win regularly from the current ATR BLV standard of pics you must be very good...
and i am being serious when i say that... coz the vast majority of folk i know who play in running will tell a very different story. me included. Betfair will just look at the overall picture anyway... they won't say 'we get this much in commission from BLV players and it costs us this much for the pics'... they will just add up all the commission they make from lowlife facetime / drone players and add it on to the figure they get from stay at home BLV players and compare that to how much they spend on the BLV pics and reach the conclusion that it is worth their while... the reality is (in my view) that the money they get in commission from stay at home ATR BLV players will be minimal compared to what they spend on BLV pics. coz it's pretty obvious to me that the big winners on ATR tracks are not stay at home BLV players. but as i keep saying dusty. Betfair will not take my advice so there is no need to lose sleep over it. |
By:
i see 'zoom in man' is in operation at Newcastle today...
nearly hit the jackpot with Solo Saxaphone there. bad luck old boy. |
By:
bf have zero contol on picture speed
The only way they could ever influence it would be if they put money on the table and they wont As I said the other day, the existence of a faster superior method by other suppliers is the only pressure on the ATR product. |
By:
The only way they could ever influence it would be if they put money on the table and they wont
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- and as i have said many time that is wrong dusty. they can influence it by withdrawing their support of the ATR BLV product and from the Sky Racing channel itself. if they did that they would leave a big hole in the finances of ATR and Sky Racing... would both parties above have a re-think on picture speeds if that happened...? i suggest they would. but we are going round in circles and i want to watch Dr.Zhivago on BBC2 tbh. |
By:
Nah
BF are just one of many bookies who pay for the product, they take it or they dont BF would lose a lot more attempting to be a pariah ATR do not care about IR, BF's only way of influencing it would be to bid for the pic rights themselves and do a proper job with IR in mind That winner just went 1.06 when in about 8th btw ![]() |
By:
i've gave up on ATR dusty.
pointless now for me. |
By:
Close up man back for more
By:
V sticky that won
Ultimately I dont think its for BF to stop using ATR, its for individuals to stop themselves using ATR Double up on RTV tracks and dont feed the goat |
By:
RTV tracks all the way for me now dusty...
as i say very well done for making good profits at ATR tracks using BLV... but i've had enough of the slow / unreliable pics which seem to be getting slower by the week... sad state of affairs really. oh well. |

Mr.Hunt will tell you we are 1.5 secs behind 'live' james... i just hope by now everyone knows that is a load of rollox...???? so,how far behind live is blv? |
By:
go and ask your great mates who sit in the racecourse trucks...
they see the raw pics before anyone else after all. |
By:
Donny useless here....
By:
spluttering all over the shop.
By:
Southwell already looking ropey...
By:
Aye that's got 'switch off and open some booze' written all over it
