Is facetiming copywright pics and sending drones over tracks legal?

Thankfully in liberal democracies you are encouraged to work hard, find edges

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

how do folk 'find edges' when the only folk at the track are supposedly officials / owners and media folk Captain carnage...?

=====================================================================================================================

Instead of sitting in your grandmas spare room wanting to play level pics with the rest of the population why dont you travel to tracks

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

it may have escaped your notice but you can't get in to tracks just now unless you are one of the above...

or are you saying folk are sneaking in the back door and getting their hands on raw pics somehow...????

and even if you were allowed in to tracks just now it wouldn't interest me in the slightest...

=====================================================================================================================

Or pay and organise a team of facetimers so you are only just behind the drones, side on and raw pic individuals.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

dear god...

how desperate are these people to find 'an edge' as they put it...???

Its a bit like saying `how desperate are newsagents for buying sweets at 50p a packet and selling them at 70p'.

Or how desperate are pro footballers to practice aspects of their games so they become one of the best and then get paid millions.

I would suggest working for trading standards or as a traffic warden would reward your personality type Hibby.

more like saying one of your lovely human being mates has just robbed and old granny of her diamond ring and he is willing to sell you it for a grand...

and you can take it to some grubby little back street and sell it on for 2 grand...

everyone's a winner right...?

shame about the old granny tho eh...

CC I’m afraid your argument is completely erroneous.

What we are all aware of here is the selective purchasing of a finite position with which to bet on the observed winner before others have the chance to see it.
That’s not being a captain of industry, or even the free market in operation, it’s an abuse.
People have tried to argue that it’s legitimate simply because there’s a disclaimer...yet have failed to explained why gambling IR is to be treated unilaterally differently to every other industry.

What we saw was the GC ‘investigate’ this issue a decade ago and came out with such a banal argument that suggested that because tracks don’t call it by its actual name, or advertise it as such then it’s permissible, witch is a nonsense and simply evidence that the GC filed it under ‘too difficult’ and continued to pretend they should continue to take fees for doing nothing.

The MPs took as an act of goodwill that self regulation would infact see to the problems themselves and left them to it. That view was brought into the open when people started to realise the abuses regarding fobts and boomaking in general. MPs were extremely frustrated and determined the sector as a whole needed shaking up, and set about a piecemeal approach to do so, calling the regulator ‘not fit for purpose’.....any glib comment on this issue can only be seen as a false sense of security and MPs are pretty likely to investigate further once other matters have been dealt with....and it is gambling’s fault if they throw the baby out with the bath water.

Nobody can be truly sure wes what MPs will decide to do, what is certain is the climate of self regulation is coming to an end.
My own view is that they will get rid of the GC and find an alternative...who themselves will have the onus of ever stricter regulation across the board.

In the APPG's most recent report, their shopping list of demands requested that the UK follow the Australian model re in play betting.

In play betting is allowed on horse racing in Aus.

First at doncaster utterly atrocious on low latency, I never even try minimum. Betfair you are a disgrace for allowing your supplier to get away with this persistent dire quality of service.
By:

They also said that the present remit had failed, they dont usually allow failed organisations to continue.
Aus have a number of restrictions that the UK doesnt have.

Yes, they don't have IR on other sports but horse racing is exempt.
By:

When: 24 Oct 20 13:32
Besides banned IR is the extreme, it could very well be the case they instruct the regulator to do a job instead of willful ignorance.

I think China or North Korea is the place to make Hibby happy. There 99% of the population are off a level playing field. Its just a shame that the 1% extort 99% of the wealth.

Thankfully in liberal democracies you are encouraged to work hard, find edges, travel, sacrifice et etc if you want to make more money than the average joe.

Instead of sitting in your grandmas spare room wanting to play level pics with the rest of the population why dont you travel to tracks (it take time, effort and cash) to play play side on so you have an equal edge with drones/raw pic players. Or make substantial investment and time and effort in organising getting a drone or 2. Or pay and organise a team of facetimers so you are only just behind the drones, side on and raw pic individuals.

Or sit at home and write letters to politicians saying its not fair people make more money than you.

wel sed cc.

Equalled by your selective assesment of the details.

2 years you will find, and I cut links as soon as the first possible opportunity arose (when atrLV sped up) Still awaiting you to find that ounce of integrity.Plain

The concept of having to take affirmative action to defend against others who buy positions of priviledge shouldnt be down to the individual....that should be the job of the regulator.
Vested interest has narrowed your mind.

Without individuals operating drones, facetime, private boxes, fast feeds, etc., would we ever have got any kind of faster pictures though?

If everyone had sat on their backsides and just complained on here, we'd still be in a situation where everyone's pictures were 8 secs behind live, and getting scalped every race by the on-course press room and the SIS shops.

*have appeared.

As stated, the disparity that existed was down to the regulator not aptly doing their job, when the gap reduced I refused to entertain being involved with the blackmarket.

You seem to either have forgotten or perhaps never knew the story of St.Augustine. The man did all manner of ill until he gained redemption, and then became the guiding light and greatest contributor to theology.

BTW its pretty poor game by you attempting to acuse me of wrong dong from a distance past when I neither named you nor any of the other individuals.

Possidius also described Augustine's personal traits in detail, drawing a portrait of a man who ate sparingly, worked tirelessly, despised gossip, shunned the temptations of the flesh, and exercised prudence in the financial stewardship of his see.[

Sounds very like Wazza to me.

so its common knowledge that for a period ot time you paid for ft pictures, didnt you also have a motorised set up to steal the sis raw feed, when they both ran their course you then switched to something else? but here you are criticising people who are still obtaining quicker pics? you have skin thicker than a rhino.

What I find amasing is how guilty conscience attempts to besmirch individuals for doing the correct thing when the first opportunity arose, based on the fact they neither then nor now will do the same.

I stayed clear or blaming individuals, rather focussed on the lackadaisical and inept decisions by those tasked with instilling intergrity.
The whole attempt to undermine the argument is an old one. The truth remains there are people who simply will never be able to pi ss straight and they know anything that highlights the fact they make profit from that abuse makes them uncomfortable.

Hibby - busy so not gunna get too involved in this but i'd be interested to know your view on box players? so renting a box from the course itself and playing the raw picture THEY provide, in other words completely legal and above board.
