Original offer no thank you. Someone somewhere increased the offer when the landscape for the future changed? IE no Box/Track players? If i was a betting man I would bet on it being the lads in the box having the pictures? |

Betfair know who the people playing with fast pics are, it is obvious from their betting patterns. Had Betfair been more pro-active many years ago, placing extra delays on the accounts of fast pic players until the delays were reduced to the absolute minimum possible for all instead of supporting trading shops with special incentive deals and such like which were against the interest of the majority of their customers, the in-running markets would be in a much healthier state today with many more regular players and much more liquidity.

If you are convinced about the people having access to the faster pics and it being maintained until everything is back to normal then it's going to be a long wait isn't it as we seem to be heading backwards with the virus particularly with spectators attending events.

 You only have to watch the betting late on to know fine well there's people using far quicker pics on rtv just now. I suppose it is just a coincidence sky rtv tv plays like live when the live video is down as well |

When you compare how well it played also the first week to 2 weeks after lockdown to how it is playing now, there's

------------------------------------------------------------- i have never said things will 'return to normal' when the current covid restrictions are lifted duffy... and in any case things were cr@p when you were up against track players and facetime players... very little difference now that i am up against folk who have a faster stream than the current widely available RTV BLV stream... the difference was supposed to be the widely available RTV BLV stream would quicken up significantly to more or less negate the facetime players at least... which would improve things for stay at home BLV players like me... but it clearly isn't going to happen now... anyone who still thinks they are working on it night and day to get to the trials speed of feb / march have a heck of a lot more patience than i do... |

Betfair only have themselves to blame for the poor state of the in-running markets. Twenty years later and the number of regular in-running players is a tiny fraction of pre-off punters, and that is mainly due to twenty years of pictures not being as fast as they could have been over that period.

I've been told today by Betfair that we are 6-8 weeks away from getting back to the trial speeds and also that no one is getting fast feeds from RUK (see below)
"As I hoped there was a very solid push back on faster feeds being provided to anyone, so whilst no solution a confirmation that that is not happening. I’ve seen it mentioned a lot on the forum but we have been told categorically it is not happening" |
