Not for me. racingtv has mostly been 1.4 behind live at most tracks last couple of years, sometimes 1.2.
BVL has sped up 0.5 on todays showing = leaves 0.1, probably 0.3 improvement to come for it to be at trial time (0.6 behind live). |

It's a lot easier just now as the tracks aren't infested with track players and face timers.
Wont be so good if speeds don't improve before they come back so the .6 is much needed for a much fairer level playing field |

So RL what is the RTV clock speed measured against atomic clock?
I have to say I’m very sceptical, sorry if I’m turning all unhappy happyhibby But my RTV clock to atomic clock was 1.7s It’s now 2s Last time ruk clock changed it went from 0.7s behind atomic to 1.7s...when HD came out They slowed it down in real terms (where SD was slower than HD) If you remember at the time rat pack was asking question re.speed on our behalf Now bootman is. Which makes me wonder if they have again cynically slowed RTV down to improve the look of their latest new release (new LV) And that’s why RTV tracks tricky, cos they are actually getting slower rather than quicker? |

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- why would they slow down RTV ch426 to 'improve' things by anything from 0.1 to 0.4 secs (or whatever some people think it has improved by) dusty... surely they would slow it down to make it comparable to the trial scenario of a few months ago...???? i think you've stepped beyond even my boundaries of cynicism dusty... and that's going some. |

just looks to me like things have gone horribly wrong since they added the needless graphics on to the speeded up pics from the trial a few months back and they have no idea how to rectify it...
easy solution is to bin the graphics that nobody wants or needs... why they simply don't go back to the position they had during the trial period is unfathomable here... |

Non of us yet know (but we will once FTers get back on track) as to the position in speeds at present.
I’m simply playing devil’s advocate, based on what bits of evidence we do have. I’m not entirely sure I agree that they’d have to go to such an ‘nth’ degree to balance things, nothing was written in stone about speed beneficiaries. They could possibly have said, ‘well our major target audience are dumb c nuts who want to be told which horse to lose money on, so add all this extra stuff for them, slow the tv pics a bit and have some middling area where everyone seems ‘happy’’. |

speaking clock vs sky rtv is 1.1 seconds apart here?

I’ve just used the speaking clock, but I only have mobile to access it (which I think delays it because it’s about a second behind the atomic clock)
But on the RTV clock right now (before racing coverage starts) the gap is under a second between the mobile speaking clock and RTV clock Which isn’t scientific, but might suggest that your sky box is infact delayed |
