As the LV opens (whether on chrome, or Mac) its a fraction ahead
But within about 5-10s the sounds levels back to that of RTV till its level ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ exactly the same here dusty... |
By:
0.7 at the speed of that race equates to around 10-12yds...its 2yds ahead at racing pace at most.

Watching the stalls open is the best way I can tell the difference, I can can glance across and see the stalls open on the tele after I've just seen them open on the LV
not sure what the time is but I can glance over bloody quick, still a bonus though that they hadn't opened by the time my eyes get there![]() |

Sounds have nothing to do with it. Watch difference in pic. Its simple to use a stopwatch or one on pc.
As said by a few here on a skq q box main box (not mini box which is around 0.5sec slower) BLV is definately 0.4/0.5 of a sec ahead. |

Willie and your point is ?
Your speed and what youre seeing isnt being dismissed, likewise i think you probably should accept that others including mine, and someone else not with me but half a mile down the road who ive just contacted is also saying his is 0-7. |
By:
Or are we all to believe we arent seeing something different and your word is gospel. Either way youre wrong its certainly more than 2 yards ahead
By:
How are you using the stopwatch, not manually surely?
By:
tt, the point is 0.7s is as clear as day for any IR pro
When we are all trying to scrutinise a split 0.1s etc its eveident it's nothing like 0.7s for the majority of us |
By:
its almost impos to time differences under 1 sec accurately...more sure 0.3 0.4 is virtually imposs..i'll reiterate..
0.7 at the speed of that race equates to around 10-12yds...its 2yds ahead at racing pace at most. |
By:
so,tt..are your blv pics 10-12yds ahead of ruk?
By:
mine is 1000% 10+ yards ahead
By:
tt must be copping the lot today fasted blv in the country
![]() |
By:
commentary also a good bit ahead
By:
Easy to time Shafty. record scream with both streams. Stick it in editor and see the diff to 1-still fractions.
By:
I will get an independent view on it the next race Willie and try and break it down to how far distance wise they are at the line and the stalls, I also agree timing under 1 sec is very difficult, but im not one to really want to over estimate

tt must be copping the lot today fasted blv in the country was about to post the same..he#ll post his p&l and prove it. |
By:
video it with phone then u can scrutinise it to your hearts content after..
By:
surely they can take a photo of blv and the tv and post it here aint rocket science
![]() |
By:
easier to gauge the distance ..as they pass line on blv pause the sky box.

but im not one to really want to over estimate That's convinced me you are an anomaly within the general male population ![]() ![]() |
By:
what's the prob with using a stopwatch? not recording 100m World Record, just looking for ballpark fig...timing them leaving stalls and passing markers etc and it's consistently 0.5+ ahead on Gruss to RTV
By:
Duffy
realised what id said when i posted it |
By:
nothing wrong witha stopwatch you have the same reaction time to press start and stop when knowing the markers and camera changes..the timings wouldn't be too far out
By:
agee dunc....if you time it 5 or 6 times and just take an average you wont be far off
it still has .7 to improve to get to trial speeds |
By:
so how far does that make RTV behind trials speeds, james? and where does that leave RTV?
By:
While everyone is complaining about RTV video speed the ATR video is tailed off and barely gets a mention
![]() |
By:
the atr video needs putting in the dustbin its slow it sticks and its a disgrace to be modelled here on a proffesional betting site in 2020
By:
If they manage to improve the speeds by a further .7 secs they will be around the same as the trials dunc
They were near 1 sec faster, lv to sky, during the trials. Theyve improved about .2 last 2 days. .7 to .8 to go |
By:
cheers james...and no plans for actual RTV pic to speed up, no?
By:
no one knows how behind ruk is..nothing to time it with.
By:
Not sure tbh regarding rtv sky speeding up
By:
correct willie what if they have slowed down the satellite a touch to make this blv look the business
By:
cheers james...and no plans for actual RTV pic to speed up, no?
------------------------------------------------------------------ nope. |
By:
as they passed the line on ruk blv i paused sky..its about 3-4yds behind at racing speed.

I've been doing that, and Gruss LV is consistently 3 lengths ahead of RTV today (i.e. 0.6 secs). (Old Sky+ HD box, and max. 7 mps broadband way out in the Somerset sticks) |
By:
echo that screaming..0.5-0.6
By:
looks like myself...dustybin and Mr.Hunt have been naughty boys and been given the duff LV feed today then...

By:
I recorded it and have paused the 2 together, the winner is 3 lengths infront, so i would say its 0.6 going on the basis that 0.2 secs is a length
