Seeing as June events like Trooping the Colour have already been cancelled ,England v Romania postponed , all County cricket matches now scheduled to start end of May ,football programme (God knows what's going to happen) I'd think it very very unlikely there'll be racing over here by 1st May.

of course you are right trident i think most know that, I hope we get something back in the summer, or perhaps that they reschedule r ascot etc so a condensed season but packed with good racing

The government gave us the first 3 week lockdown to get the public used to the measures in place. This to be ready for the next stage of Full Lockdown.

no chance racing beginning of may . york has a members get together a week before the dante meeting . it has already been cancelled . members already told abandoned meetings due to virus will be taken into account for next years fees .

UPDATE ON THE RESUMPTION OF RACING
Today the BHA wrote to all trainers regarding the resumption of racing. My racing club forwarded on the email. Key points as follows: Phased return with aim to start on 1st May. Initially behind closed doors. Flat races to begin with as demands on medical services are less. Possibility of bumpers for jumpers. Jump racing to be resumed as soon as practically possible afterwards. Best wishes all. Stay safe. Ps This is racing in the UK, not the ROI. |
