Bilbo - "will RTV IRISH pictures be faster come april...?" - I believe so yes.
"will RTV super duper fast pics come april be on ch426 also...? - No this is the new watch and bet service via Betfair. Dusty - ATR haven't phoned when they were supposed to and I haven't had time to chase yet. Regard the pictures, I reckon they are around 1.7 behind live, but have to say i've been disappointed with the number of races that have been affected by pausing/ not being fluent. I'm not going to bother betting on any of the ATR a/w tracks for a while. |

No luck with the laptop - but got the "picture in picture" mode working on the pc for the video and sure that will do the job.
cheers |

SHAMBLES.

BLV for SSR/ATR tracks does not use Flash any more so enabling Flash won't help.
Make sure you have Java installed. Download and install here. https://www.java.com/en/download/faq/whatis_java.xml |
By:
Flash till the end of the year
By:
Jack is correct, the new ATR stream is the Flash replacement.
By:
ATR no longer use Flash, you have to enable JavaScript. Click on the padlock then site settings and allow JavaScript.

Why will BF Live video play Southwell in Microsoft Edge but not in Chrome, thanks?
By:
Maybe because you don't have JavaScript enabled in Chrome. It works fine on both for me.
By:
Why doesn't edge support the minimum delay setting?
By:
It's just not having it.
By:
It lacks a cutting
By:
It does for me. Make sure you have the latest version installed as it has been upgraded recently and is now based on Chromium like the Chrome browser.

That reply was to Duffy.

If rtv think I am going to pay money for slower pictures than what are available on betfair they are sadly misinformed what a shambles
By:
That’s a ridiculous way of looking at it tips, RTV are bringing out a service which will make the smallest discrepancy in advantage there has ever been at no cost and your not willing to invest £10-£25 a month. Even if you don’t use the TV pictures I think you should be backing them because ATR don’t give a monkeys and aren’t the slightest bit interested in delays and inrunning markets and if they ever got all the rights it would put back inrunning 10/20 years.
By:
£10-25 a mth?
its only via blv. |
By:
I haven’t explained myself very clearly, even if people are only using blv from April, they should still pay the £10-£25 for RTV even if they don’t use the tv pictures cos they are slower than blv. The reason they should be backing the company who are listening & brought in the smallest delay, without going on track, face time or an office in the old days
Is the alternative with ATR is grim. Also if there is a problem with blv you’ve got back up to watch it on RTV. I’m starting to sound like I work for RTV, I don’t I just hope people see the bigger picture and back RTV, instead of trying to save £10-£25 a month because it’s faster on blv. |
By:
I think RTV will find many subscribers ditch if the BLV becomes a playable /faster /reliable option.
Why chuck money @ a company because they where good in the past. |
By:
totally get your sentiment boycey, RTV will be aware of a potential drop in revenue from subs but I'm sure that has been factored into the deal they have brokered with BF
By:
Correct boycey
The mentality of aggressive spending cuts is the beast that ultimately ends in a lack of wealth distribution and wage inequality; essentially the race to the bottom. RTV should be applauded. If you don’t have 10 quid a month spare to support it then you perhaps shouldn’t;t be gambling in the first place. |
By:
If the £10/25 subs were going to fast pics instead of sending Tom Stanley and Rishi etc on jollies to Dubai and funding
the rest of the gravy trainers then it wdnt be so bad. Plus aint they a bookies channel now anyway with Shinners etc on there every day spouting their sh1te Back to the main topic, does anyone have a clue what the new speeds are? Seemingly they change slightly every other race on sky tracks now never mind every meeting |
By:
We dont get to shape the businesses who supply the pictures and make their decisions for them, all we can do is support those that further an environment of integrity. The subs are going towards the suppliers of fast pictures.
By:
I thought it was Betfair paying for the live video not our subs?
By:
You mean punters?
This is innovation, it's above and beyond the business model. Who would ordinarily fund that if it isn't part of the required service? ATR have a long history of serving up bare bones mince and not giving a damn about the problems it causes. |
By:
I do think they are missing a trick however.
They should do as ATR do and treat IR customers with contempt through the bf exchange, and give them the same old rubbish ATR have always served up. Then had their own Live product supply a fast feed for a price. |
By:
Exactly Dusty,
JD your argument is don’t suuport RTV cos they waste there’re money and are turning into a bookies channel & in the next breath your complaining about the Inconsistency and delay of speed on sky tracks who’s pictures are predominantly owned by bookmakers who have no interest in inrunning and would be more than happy if inrunning on horse racing didn’t exist. |
By:
Where did I say don't support rtv, boycey?
I said it wouldn't be so bad if our subs went to fast pics and not sending rishi and stanley to Dubai. Fwiw I've been supporting rtv/paying them monthly subs for the last 15 years and not had a satellite dish or switched on rtv for over a year, so they are getting money from me yet I'm getting zero in return from them. It's ok to not be happy with both sky lv and rtv's gravy train, doesn't have to be one or the other. I think we deserve better from both of them via Betfair |
By:
By:
By:
The radical difference to the ft'er is that RTV isnt a ponzi scheme.
I'd have done something similar to what sports in HD used to do You can subscribe to the skysports for a price (RTV) and in addition you can pay a HD fee to get it in more clarity (fast pics) But you cant have the fast pics without already being an RTV subscriber. |
By:
I f rtv can product faster pics to betfair why not give them to their customers I am sure many would be willing to pay for them much more than their current price
By:
*plus it legitimate, available to all and money that goes into racing
By:
Back to the main topic, does anyone have a clue what the new speeds are? Seemingly they change slightly every other race on sky tracks now
nay point updating then really? |
By:
Apologise JD, your argument is completely valid.
By:
Would like to think it would settle wullie rather than just letting it go and giving them carte blanche
By:
unless you know the deal with bf its impossible to say the merit of their decision
a faster pics service by rtv would benefit relatively more existing punters than ft but also significantly less punters than the new model potentially would, the HBF project that has been behind this is keen to increase levy and punter interest in racing (as i interpret it), so the fact you dont even need to bet first now to watch makes it as open as possible and gives it every chance, people have asked for a faster pics service for 15+ years they would have considered it many times |
