Hard to fit in 4 jumps card on the same day. Many races take more than 5 minutes. There has been calls to start at 7 or 8 minute intervals on days like today which makes sense. Every 8 minutes would mean 32 minutes between races at each course which is fine. Nobody at the BHA seems willing to change-like the pathetic yellow flag yesterday.

Yes, split screen in HD less than 2 secs behind live on the same TV.
Much better to have one of the races on SKY 10 secs behind live on a 2nd TV. Know which I prefer. |

Mainly affects RUK watchers but on course screens and bookmakers are in the same boat. Split screen or miss some races altogether. It is up to BHA and the equivalent in Ireland to make some changes to scheduling.

Just not good enough - but I actually watched the dedicated feed on line where I had an interest with the TV turned off and have to say it was quite refreshing. Plenty of paddock shots, no pre race opinions, just pictures of horses and watched the whole race in peace. This could be my future.

So what difference would it have made to have 2 channels? I would have had to miss at least two races completely if not three. On a normal week day I would be happy to miss Irish racing but today it is the best racing.

I could have chosen which race to watch. I was really interested in the Huntington 13:30 and just about saw the finish but had to rewind and check to be sure. |
