are yard switchers just going from a normal carrot trainer to a super carrot trainer? Asking for a friend.
|
|
By:
Oily, good luck with these. Denmead is now a big drifter, at least it is at the moment.
|
|
By:
Denmead and the fav will need to be very nimble at the hurdles to keeps tabs on Totterdown.
|
|
By:
I thought any money for Ben pauling's pair would be interesting he nabs these contests with similar sorts and has done well with few runners sent here in such events.
I've layed the king fav, can see it winning but it's nearer around a 2.8 shot for me than 2.4 gl Oily Everyone knows about the Skeltons carrots with their barn hoppers, Olly has done very well with his too for your other choice later. |
|
By:
Denmead out to 11 suggests he's not quite ready, today at least?
|
|
By:
I think the fav is a lay at the price. May struggle to jump as well trying to keep tabs on Totterdown.

|
By:
Blimey fav went from 2.4 to 3.1 in less than a minute.

Cheers lads.
Denmead was a nice winner at a decent price, I realise that had I waited I could have had a better price after the drift but the end price was nearer what I'd got anyways so have to be happy with that. The non runner and the deduction that comes with it didt help the second bet, although it finished second I still ended up losing a little on that one, no point in whinging about it. Another interesting one out tomorrow, an ex Ger Lyons inmate running over hurdles for the first time, no prices as yet. |
|
By:
did you do the double Oily'
? |
|
By:
Hi Deltâ, no didn't bother with the double, I've got around a 29% strike rate with these yard switchers so more than happy when just one of them comes in!
Are you still researching these yard switchers? |
|
By:
ones that catch the eye, [left of centre] yep
not necessary the carrot barn switchers tho ![]() |
|
By:
carrot barn switchers.Had a long losing run of 16 in April and just 2/24 during the whole month followed by an 11/10 winner has to be expected but been steady away since. |
|
By:
Its a bit short but I've taken 9/4 about the ex Ger Lyons horse in the 2.10 at Wetherby tomorrow, King Dargent. Ran a fair race on his final start before moving stable finishing 3rd to a 94 rated flat horse over 14 furlongs, could go well for Harry Skelton on NH debut tomorrow.

Alan King very adept with his flat runners around this rating coming into the juvenile contests but watching race for me. |

Qudurrat makes his debut for the Appleby yard in the 2.15 trading around the 11 mark and could run into a place, two runs in maidens and she did show us some hope for us, green and short of room on her debut and then held up out the back on her second run, change of scenery and trainer might well have done her good.
There were two in the 4.20 Carlisle yesterday, both drifted alarmingly so didn't think they warranted a mention, Aspen Colorado!! They do make fools of us, fingers crossed for today. |

Drifted like a barge just before the off and then ran like one.
In the 4.55 Casual Cavalier is interesting switching from Bewley to Henry Oliver and is now 4lb below his last winning mark so have taken 12/1 and will back in the place market on b/f also. Skelton has the a fancied one in this as he does for the next The 3.35 see's Atlantic Storm making its debut for the Rees stable and is down in grade here pitched straight into a seller. Having arrived from the Skelton yard and Skelton also having the 3nd favourite in the race made me wonder for a while but Skelton is just 1/17 in sellers, so Atlantic Storm backed at 2.36. Skelton could scupper both!! Keel Over is another switcher at Stratford in the 2.30 to the Bridgewater yard, quite prolific of late in Hunters and this distance is much more suitable, taken 13/2 win and place again. |

Atlantic Storm ,,lay for me.
horse has a kink in its head,,,, look at its race comments couple of races ago,, IDLED |

By:
A poor maiden on the flat Chica Buena has moved from Brendan Duke to Kieth Dalgleish after winning a hurdle race at Ballinrobe, won well with probably more to come. On the drift a little bit but have taken 2.6.
Yesterday: At 13/2 each way there was a profit from Keel Over who finished second. Atlantic Storm won easily at 2.42 Casual Cavalier was so close to being placed at a nice price but finished fourth. |

Chica Buena won as you would like a heavily backed horse to win.
In the last at Chelmsford tonight I couldn't find a single reason why anyone would want to back Sheldon Cooper, awful hurdle form and just as bad on the flat - however the horse has gone to the Appleby yard and was available at 12/1 last night and early doors this morning, then dropped to 9/1 thereby becoming a reason to get interested, settled for 8s each way and now as low as 5.8 on betfair. Its a fingers crossed job as there isn't any worthwhile form to go on so I'm hoping the change of scenery and trainer has worked the oracle. |
