mouse ,those coins have varying grades ,i assume yours is in very fine condition . over the years i bought old dinky cars mint and boxed these have seen a slight drop in prices from a high of 5 years ago but still have a steady value and are easy to store .

Hi Mouse,
I am at this very moment building a historical database of speed ratings for all AW tracks using the method outlined in 'Mordin on speed'. I too want to be ready ahead of the 2018-19 season proper. can you give me a brief outline of the calculation method which you use.

Incidentally i have used a 0-140 scale, so my ratings revolve around the 100 mark in line with raceform. However I get big discrepancies, which suggest that raceform amends +- adjustments to the raw ratings, whereas mine are pure and take no account of weight carried (usually very small weight band in most aw races).

Celtic, my method is more like the Beyer ratings. No weight and I set 1 length per mile to equal 1.4 points (the figures are rounded afterwards). This way I can fit them onto a scale where I take 70 as a par figure for an all age 0-70 handicap, 72 for a 0-75, 74 for a 0-80 etc. The highest figures I've recorded over the last year are Lucky Team in the mile final and Kachy when he won that handicap in January off 105, both on 90.

I have read all of beyer's books aswell. His rationale is very solid as it adjusts 'projected' teams to take account of race class.
