Hi Guys,
I didn't see the result, bitbybit send me a message on WhatsApp earlier, two down at the last fence and Hells Kitchen well held at the time. Carlisle fences are easy, so layers had bad luck there. |

Andrew,
You’ve said once or twice you followed a race via the RP typed commentary, can you not listen live on WH radio. Or is that also restricted in both Germany & Sweden? Apart from the dogs they have all the live horse race commentaries on their site. I find it easier and quicker to listen to that than go through the rigmarole of getting BF radio up and running. Has anybody else got any other suggestions that are free and don’t need signing up to? |

Andrew, please never say "Take nothing away from the winner" again, it is the phrase Fitzy has crucified over the years he has been on the Gravytrain when he can't think of anything else to say.

Morning Andrew and all,
not been gambling much only bet I've had in last two weeks unseated at second fence so decided to leave it alone but looking this morning I have decided on a Lay suggestion Bangor 2.55 the Wolf currently 2.76 for peanuts Not proven in heavy going but Kapgarde progeny appear to win on all types and athough only a 5yo and could have massive improvement. Only won 4 runner race last time, easily but only 3 finished. I think has at least two live opponents in Burrows Park and Chiti Balko who I fancy. Well treated on ratings down to its lowest OR and has won on going before McCain had 4 entered originally and has a good record at track 40 winners from 193 runners since 2011 in handicap hurdles. Not won over the distance but has run well several times Any opinions welcome |

Hi Guys and Girls from a Grey looking West München (possibility of snow later).
Many thanks for the comments post race on Monday. A manic workload day yesterday (and early evening) hence no post apart from a late guess in the naps competition that downed tools before the last. As many will have seen on Monday afternoon my lay selection Hells Kitchen had the audacity to win, albeit in very lucky circumstances. Chased the leaders in 3rd place from the start, pushed along after the 2nd last and 4L down in 3rd at the final fence (getting nowhere) when the front two (who were racing apart) thought it may be fun to go through the fence instead of over it, leaving Hells Kitchen in front and going on to win by 1.5L, although the runner up did try to rally on the run-in. Midnight Shadow would almost certainly have won without the mishap and the lay would have been 3rd at best. Carlisle is one of the easiest chase courses in the country and in the 3 chase races that day these two were the only fallers. Sods law, but that’s racing and layers paid the price (unless trading IR of course). Changing the subject, it was good to see Enable horse of the year, probably the correct decision even though she did get beaten in the Arc. Another busy day, but not akin to Monday, so still time for a lay post later maybe. In the meantime, good luck and have a nice Wednesday. ![]() Happysandwich, Many thanks for the WH radio tip, I hadn’t considered it, although if I had been listening on Monday, my work colleagues may have learnt a few choice words. Actually I didn’t even follow the RP commentary that day (in a meeting) Bitbybit sent me the result on WhatsApp.Coolhandluke, The problem I had was not necessarily access, but having a Betfair.com account per se as they closed my previous one due to new regulations in Sweden, and to open a new one I need a UK address. I've tried to open a new Betfair.se account but they do not accept my TIN number as ID, although I can maybe get over this when I have more time up there. The account would be in Skr of course and as a consequnce the P/L would not be in GBP, although that wouldn’t be such a big deal with a little conversion each time. I have a Betfair.de account but it’s not an exchange (no horse racing either) so I use it to post on here and fun bets on football and rugby on occasion. Irrespective of this, a poster on here that i’m in regular contact with is kindly helping me out, giving me access to a working account. For privacy reasons, I don’t want to go into details, nor divulge who he/she is, but if the poster wishes to acknowledge this on here, I do not have any issues with it at all. I will use the new account soon (I arranged a VPN over the weekend) and start the new lay thread after my daughter arrives here from Australia on December 6th when I will be taking a fair bit of time off work until she returns in January. All lays on the new thread will be matched exactly as my first two threads. Lucky, Good luck with your lay suggestion, happy to see you posting on here. |

Hi Guys and Girls,
The lay selection is Ayr 3.20 - Polydora @ 3.10. Reasoning post up later. Many thanks to Bitbybit for the current Betfair lay odds (first tic tac to answer my email request). Good luck and have a nice afternoon all. ![]() |

Good afternoon everyone,
Lucky Luciano, I too have been keeping my powder dry, I’ve only had one bet since 19th August. Honest. Will be watching the 2.55 Bangor with interest and cheering the others to beat it for you. You only need 3 winning Lay bets to be betting with their money. That’s the theory anyway. ![]() |

Lay Post
Ayr 3.20 - Polydora A 7 year old Milan gelding trained by Tom Lacey at Ledbury, Hertfordshire. Winner of 3 from 13, a novice and maiden hurdles in 2017, and a class 3 novice handicap chase (off a mark of 131) over an extended 23f at Newcastle in December 2018. Concentrating on his chase form (1 win from 5) his places are verage at best, although the last two races were in better class, the penultimate a novices handicap where he finished 4th of 10 (beaten 9.25L) although only 6 finished the race. He was upped in grade LTO for the Grade 3 Betway handicap chase at Aintree, never figured and finished 9th of 18 (beaten 30L) but only 10 finished the race. Surprisingly he was only 8/1 for this race that in hindsight was quite short on what he had achieved, at least in my opinion, but i’m not a bookmaker. Hasn’t run since early April and looking at his overall record it’s mixed after a break, therefore inconclusive, as is his form on heavy going, although he did win his chase on soft. Occasionally jumps well enough in his races, but has made mistakes in several others and also jumped to the right at Newbury (Ayr is also LH). The trip shouldn’t be an issue, but Ayr is a stamina sapping track when it rides heavy and he’s giving weight to the field, including 11 lb to his main rival. Whilst I accept he’s been competing in better company in his last couple of runs (off marks of 139 and 137 respectively) his overall form is not head and shoulders above a couple of these at least. Is dropped 2 lb today, but is still 4 lb above his highest winning mark. He shouldn’t be favourite in my opinion, in fact, 15/8 is quite low for me. A small field of 5, any of whom can win this afternoon, so layers have several running for them. Trainer current form is below average, although the same couldn’t be said for the jockey. Lay @ 3.10 (ref my 13.02 post) Good luck all. |

Good luck Andrew, but not for me.
Hertfordshire to Ayr is a long way to give a horse a run (800 mile round trip) and trainer won the race last year with a seasonal debutant. I won't be backing or laying anything in the race. Only 4 others running for me is not enough imvho. |
