8.00 Dund Nap, Easy Boy: Clearly likes it around here and as long as Mr. Leonard doesn't have it in last place with a couple of furlongs to go and have a bit slightly closer to the pace he really ought to be bang there at the finish. He rattle home last time and granted a better passage and trip at the prices he has great claims.
Nawassi at wolves around 2/1 also good claims down in grade N/B |

2nd itus on last 3 naps.....
![]() Yeah you right, I always look at the horses form n hope the jock has enough capabilities to steer it into first place, Even that requires a lot of faith these days, especially some of the rides u see. might pull out of your thread even though on sp's prices on level staking slightly ahead. but declining rapidly on recent form. punchestown really not helped with Willie having so many bullets per race. persevere this week but If my strong Guineas nap Fails will email u in future what i really like n let you get on with it. U doing very well anyway. Keep up the good work Bud. ![]() |

Matt
My header when started the Post "Have put previous posts on Some Guesses recently, but seem to have a jinx on there as had too many close 2nd's" It may be my way of interpretation of the races though? So moving on with my own post. I haven't looked back since starting this post. Take a break as you have been playing the Jumps, Irish racing, etc Go with the Handicaps as the form guide is more comprehensive than a Maiden or Novice race. The Jump season has ended and Flat just starting. I always consider the Flat hasn't really started until after the first Chester Meeting. |

7.50 Chelms Tirania Nap: Stable in great form and in this grade has to be followed. The Jolly Puds form also very good with Richenza and Dotted Swiss both winning in the race she won last time. however she's up in class and at the prices The Nap has run v better horses. If it turns into a 2f dash will be in trouble, but if they go a good gallop Expect Doyle to sweep past them late on.

Another blimin 2nd and another that touched very very short odds in running (1.06)
Very well backed and went off As the jolly in the end. No excuse had every chance n 2nd itus continue's. Didn't like puds up in class n more weight was one of the first beat. Tough day for punters with plenty of shorties beaten today. Roll on the Guineas Meeting! |

By:
Well the Goliath was a complete wash out.
2 wins and 2 placed from 8 picks A few Place bets helped to reduce the loss and £30 on Main Street was a good recovery. 5/4 this morning but won at 2/1 with BF. |

Tx Virg, Frustrating game at times.
7.30 Newcastle nap Spanish City: Do like the Roger V. and Andrea A. combo at present, stable having a decent start to the season. Unexposed horse and could well turn out to be reasonably handicapped. Worth a bet on a day nothing really stood out. But would like to snap out of this string of 2nd's. |
|
By:
Thanks Virgin
Mat, you should snap out today as I have Spanish City in my specials, so hope it does win. Robero is joint though but the system doesn't like ZERO last run. 250 runners at Newc and only 34 wins 4th LTO reads 104 wins from 559 runners Deadbrain could do the maths on percentages? Other Specials 3.00 GREAT SHOT SAM 3.40 MOSALIM 4.40 TRADING POINT |
|
By:
After a string of 2nd's, i did snap out of it with a bang,
Tipped it up at around 11/4 this morning n smashed into an sp of 5/4 Won well too. Roger and Andrea great combo at present. Pinza Well done with Trading point plus Great shot Sam was placed. Keep up the good work and thanks for the vote of confidence. After a few near misses it can dwell on the mind but this winner is just what i needed before a big weekend. Tomoz start of the Guineas meeting plus The Kentucky Derrrrrby n got some very strong fancies over the weekend. |

Mat. We should take more notice when we both pick the same horse!
It doesn't happen often (Irish and National hunt picks are not on my radar) Todays Specials Masaarr 4 (Roger Varian) 2+ 3 Dino Velvet 6 (A King) 4- 5 Buonarroti 3 (David M Carroll) 25- 7 Rustang 7 (R Hughes) 1- 3 Defoe 1 (Roger Varian) 10+ 4 Roaring Lion 12 (John Gosden) 6+ 3 Old Persian 3 (C Appleby) 5+ 3 Istanbul Sultan 4 (W J Haggas) 1+ 3 Pepita 1 (Richard Hannon Jr) 0 4 Mitchum 2 (R E Barr) 36- 9 10 qualifiers and two in same race (Dino Velvet & Buonarroti) Could take the two oldies out for a multiples bet Both have a high negative difference figure and from memory a 9yo rarely wins 2 races on trot. |

I do tend to mix it up a bit.
I'll back a horse anywhere on the planet if its value. Sometimes it works Sometimes not he he he 1000 Guineas Sunday: Soliloquy 6/1 E/W BoG Best Nap of the Weekend: The Dogs were barking in Newmarket about this filly before the Nell Gwyn and she didn't disappoint. Only having to be slightly shaken up to put it to bed with the minimum of fuss, she apparently was only half cooked n is primed for Sunday According to the trainer. 6/1 is great Value as had her a lot closer to the jolly Happily then the market is showing. Be very disappointed is she is not fighting it out at the finish. Will have a saver too on Laurens as she is another filly of real interest this season, plus her form is stacking up well. The Nap of the day 1.50 Newmarket Sharja Bridge 3/1 BoG. Going With this combo again as this horse has obvious claims. was more of a 4/1 shot in my book as its a competitive field. But willing to go in at current price. Good draw + stable in Form. 2000 Guineas Today: Saxon Warrior 4/1 BoG NB: W.Buick could well win this also as Masar is the form horse n has been very well backed today, However even though get O'Brien's horses more wrong then right do think Saxon could be a little special. unbeaten and his form stacks up stronger on paper to his stable mate Gustav. Plus when it comes to group 1 races Aiden's record speaks for itself. The warrior will be staying up that famous newmarket hill very strongly to pick off Masar. Worth a little saver too on Headway at 25/1 as the quicker the ground the better and can see him rattling home. Kentucky Derby 11.50 pm tonight Got to mention (Justify) and with some bookies offering around 4/1 i think is worth a punt and looks a bit of value as will be shorter in the pools over there......Again positive noise coming from the barn, with a good draw should be hell of a race and worth staying up for. Sensational line up with plenty with many chance. G.L. Ryan Moore n Mendelssohnn but the stats are pretty awful for the Euro Raiders. Happy Punting! |

Nap came 2nd and again hit pretty low in running (1.3)
Bit frustrating as Buick out rode Atzeni there. those 2 were miles clear of the rest. However reprieve in the 2000 Guineas as i was bang on the money about Saxon Warrior. Did what i pretty much said in the write up, picked them up n stayed on strongly up that hill. Ended up having a nice touch on it. Looks another very exciting Horse and can see why he is Fav for the Derby. Still got the Kentucky Derrrby to enjoy (Go Go Go Justify!!!!) + Big E/W nap tomoz looking a decent price with 7/1 about earlier. |

Get In There!!! This Matty is pretty good huh ![]() 4/1 With the UK Bookies, 5/2 in America......BOOM! Value Value Value He Pi$$ed it as well just as impressive as Saxon Warrior earlier.Nice end to Saturday Night, plenty of readies going to the bank. Roll on the 1000! |

3.55 Naas Cliffs Of Moher Nap: After traveling well in his first run of the season he should strip a lot fitter and really shoud to put this lot away.
He's a bit skinny at around 13/8 but he clearly has strong claims in this group 2. I struggled to find anything of value after the weekend just gone. Not going to get rich on this Nap but it should be a winner and top up the bankroll. 5.05 Naas Imaging NB: should also return to winning ways. Albeit Gutav didn't do much for the form on Saturday but then again I think Mr. Heffernan is good at just making the numbers and pretending he's trying and going through the motion's as its clear Saxon was there real Runner. So wouldn't read to much into that form and again at around 7/4, Its worth a punt to top up. 2 singles and a double. BoG and they could well drift a bit in the market and can see why the Layers might try n take them on. |

Hi Pinza: Yeah Soliloquy was a slight disappointment and maybe the Nell Gwyn run came to soon.....Time will tell how good the form is.
As for Irish, American, French, Dubai, Hong Kong Etc Etc Racing.....all about finding the value and finding the winners. You got to keep the faith and keep going! Hope you recover quickly as im in ok form ![]() BOOM!!! Class Is Class. Good to see The NAP and NB oblige today! Cliffs did what i expected n should pick up more races especially in this Grade. Tx Guys.
Likewise a bit late with my pick's as had a heavy night out last night. Looking at results so far happy chilling out nursing a hangover. 7.40 Ros: small Farm: Doesn't look a very strong Bumper n Think Patrick should guide this horse into the winning Enclosures. 8.30 Lud: Lust For Glory: Henderson has a nice strike rate at this venue and another horse here that should pick up this win. Nap Double as they are both pretty short in the market deservedly so. Chester starts tomoz looking fww to your picks tomoz Pinza. |

Jeez! that Small Farm run was bad.
at least it was better that way round as managed to get a single bet on the Henderson Nag. At least that sluished up. Henderson Good Record at Ludlow. ![]() |

The draw will play a part. I only recall the widest draw winning many years ago by Jack Berry on G/F Good to soft/good in places is not simple to work out, but if good to soft we are looking for alow number Mick Channon sent Archers Row here in 2009 with form 2112 and finished 2nd but came up against 3 winner Star Rover Today the form for his runner KINKS is 211 and is now a non runner (but draw 11) That leaves NO LIPPY with a great chance having won on soft at Donny Fillies do quite well in the race and Mark Johnston has won this race a few time and with Filly Rah Rah |
