Good to see you are in good form Matt
Noticed some comments' I've had a poor time with computer and my mate across the road who is a whizz kid at it has been away on holiday. You are right about the gardening. It's a busy time of year for me. Loads of fruit picked, and frozen. Broad beans galore, and gooseberry's need picking. Plenty of pears growing on tree and nurturing the plum tree as the Aphids are busy. Still doing the multiple bets. Up at 8am to get newspapers (Mirror & Daily Express) Takes a long time to score the races with spot, next best and F & SF. Just finished. Have a good day |

Big day today. A few years ago I took £700 through the Newbury card after the first two races.
That was a lot for me but would have been a fortune if let it roll (13k) Todays picks based upon Daily Mirror / Daily Express / ratings and Racing and Sports (Oz). 1.50 First Nation has the top score of 7 with Fox Chairman next best 6. R&S have Pondus as top score but only 2 by mine. Andrew Balding had the winner of this race previously when I cashed in! 2.25; R&S Have a joint score with Making Miracles and Carnwennan and my scores make Carnwennan top. 3.00; The Tin Man is top with 9 and R&S have it as top. 3.40; A 2yo race that could provide Richard Fahey with the winner. Topscore of 9 and R&S put it top. 4.10; 2yo novice races I tend to avoid. Written Broadcast comes out top with score of 5 but R&S have Good Earth top and WB 2nd. 4.45; Red Starlight top with 6 points and top with Oz. Listen to wind is close with next best. 5.20; Raydiance top and next best with 5 but R&S have it as next best to Cliffs Of Capri (my score 4) I would warn that R&S have not had many winners when I have looked. They have recently changed to the new method. I preferred the old method as it was simpler and showed when a horse had a break. Have a good day. |

Hi Mr.P
Yes Doing alright, Banging plenty of winners on here on the whole. Probably only a Handful who check it out but im taking good care of your thread. This time of year the Garden always needs its full attention. ![]() Good Luck with the multiples they certainly pay when they go in. Today: 3.00 Newbury The Tin Man Nap: Stands out in this Company if anywhere near its best And Really ought to take this with the minimum of fuss. Group 1 horse down into a Group 3 All Aboard! 3.40 Newbury Ventura Rebel NB: Another horse that stands out on Ascot Form and should finish strongly at this track and take this Big price back up North. Trainer targets this Race Obvious Chance. In the Big one (Oaks) in Ireland I have finally given up on PinkDogWood after backing it twice and sticking faithfully with the Best Jockey in the Biz and going For Star Catcher for a Trainer and jockey Combo that has served me well and my Bank Balance. |
|
By:
The Tin Man went off a very well backed 6/4 Fav and ran a stinker. Clearly not the horse he once was.
Ventura Rebel ran on into 4th. The winner was Tipped up on another thread and well done to them. As For the Big one in Ireland...... Well what More can you Say about that little Italian man. Simply the Best! Plus Mr.J Gosden deserves a Mention too he certainly knows the winners enclosure. |
|
By:
4.45 Wolves Toro Dorado Nap: Obvious chance and the money is down!
|
|
By:
In it Goes!
![]() Smashed up in the Market and Job Done! |
|
By:
18.20 Harpocrates Nap: Back down in Class at round Even Money Be disappointed if this Nag can't shed its maiden after a Strong Run at Royal Ascot.
17.50 Powersville Nb: Good chance to get back in the winners enclosure back to a stiff 5f, though Pillar is worth a saver at a big price. |
|
By:
Boom!
![]() Powersville powers on up that Naas Hill! Good start 4/1 Bf or 7/2 bookies Sp take those all day long! Nap to follow. |
|
By:
Nap traveled well but failed in the end and disappointing This horse could not pick up this Maiden.
But Still a good day Powersville ensured that. Boris in Charge this will be entertaining...... ![]() |
|
By:
Well That was a Horse Race!
Enable was sensational again and the runner up fought hard and deserves credit too! Again the same recipe Gosden and Dettori Group 1 success, As for the ride itself what more can i say about this genius little man from Italy. Frankie is the best pure and simple. Kerrrrrchiiinnnng! ![]() |
|
By:
2.50 Deauville Laurens Nap: Good record v her own sex. Should give it a bold show and at around 3.5 or 5/2 she is worth backing.
|
|
By:
Boom!
![]() Does what it says on the tin, A Bold Show indeed! 2.8 on the PMU, 3.5 On BF and 2/1 jolly with the Bookies. What a Thread winners galore on here. |
|
By:
A great weekends Racing now followed by a week of Glorious Goodwood , With Galway to boot.
Winners coming a plenty lets hope the trend continues. |
|
By:
Could be a good day For Doyle and Dettori as they both have Decent book of rides on paper.
Today's Picks: 2.25 Pinatubo Nap: What a race in store, shame Siskin is not in the line up as i personally think he is the only horse that could trouble the pick today. Do think The Chesham Form is key and Lopez Y Fernandez could be the main threat again. But Pinatubo Looks to have a Very Big Engine and i can't desert Him as he has been napped on here before and delivered. 3.35 Stradivarius Nb: Another Horse that stands out in this Company and With Frankie/Gosden Combo in Blistering Form At 4/5 All Aboard! Should be a Nap Double. At Galway See a few more Jollies Winning there this evening. |
|
By:
Oh Yes oh yes Oh Yes!!!!!
Kerching!!!!!! Different Day same old Story Frankie/Gosden Help ya Self to Cash! Stradivarius Defo knows where that winning post is he he he As for Pinatubo He Slaughtered them today he really is looking something special. Even Siskin would have struggled to lower the colors of Godolphin on that evidence. Mattie doing what he knows best and Banging winning Naps on here! ![]() Roll on Galway! |
|
By:
First couple of Jollies at Galway power on the up the hill
Fast Bucks indeed ![]() |
|
By:
Lovely stuff
![]() |
|
By:
Thanks Shirl.
Had the first three winners at Galway last night To top up a great day. but the last race did sting a bit with Beckwith Place smashed of the boards and just failing to pull of a miracle. 3.35 Too Darn Hot Nap: Keep it simple Gosden/Frankie Juggernaut keeps on rolling and no surprise if they pick up this prize up. |
|
By:
Gosden/Frankie Juggernaut does it Again
![]() Not rocket science is it? But its free cash as that combo is in blistering Form, Eleven Group 1 in 8 weeks. Another Nap goes in and i will take those all day long. Happy days time for a drink. |
|
By:
Tequila!
Hermosa for me but difficult to oppose the Cash machine Frankie/Gosden Enjoy n Continue drinking...... ![]() |
|
By:
Had that feel about it!
Hermosa hmmmmm crack open another Pomerol....with a few Tequila's ![]() |
|
By:
Slight hangover today.
Thought Battash was more of a 1/5 shot in my book. Plenty to spare v this lot So in theory 4/11 is Value. |
|
By:
Battash ended up 1/4f and closer tot he price i had in my book.
Traveled well and done the job, the 2nd Houtzen Ran a screamer. 6.25 New lazuli NB: Wont need to be anything special to pick up this Maiden and should give W.Buick a winning return. |
|
By:
Boom!
Lazuli traveled well and does the Job. A Winner is Winner and take those all day long. W.Buick probably having more of blow then the horse after the race ![]() |
|
By:
![]() |
|
By:
Going to America for a Nap With Supper Soumi's Mount now a non runner he is around the even Money Mark.
But do think he should be a lot shorter and i will take an even money winner all day long. 22.46 Mckinzie Nap: Plenty to spare v this lot with the extra furlong to suit, All Aboard! |
|
By:
BOOM!!!!
Mckinzie Wins! Lumped on! Job done! Easy game! ![]() Stood out like a sore thumb! like keep saying Take one of those every day of the week! |
|
By:
Ultra Competitive Race Today In France 14.47 Deauville.
Polydream is my pick: The Freddy Head stable now in much better form, Horse has a great record at this Track and granted luck The pick will be finishing with a rattle. The Fav Advertise getting weight as a 3y old will be feared with the best jockey on the Planet on Board. Pretty Pollyanna if breaking cleanly is also one to note. Should be a cracker of a race But Maxim Guyon To deliver and keep the prize at home. Final Day of Galway and its been another tremendous week of racing there. |
|
By:
WD last night
![]() GL today ![]() |
|
By:
Tx Shirl, No Nap today but expected Polydream to run a bit better then that.
Should of just kept it simple and stuck with the best jockey in the Business. Frankie Delivers again. A good boost to Ten Sovereigns and July Cup form. |
|
By:
I see Siskin Won last night, would of definitely Napped that.
Decent price too, thought it would of a been lot shorter. Pinatubo Still the best 2y old out there for me. like i said before on here be a great clash. |
|
By:
15.50 Aplomb Nap: Back with Cut in the Ground And a stable in red hot Form Looks a fair shout at around 2.9
|
|
By:
He He He
In it goes! To be fair the 2nd Typhoon Ted gave the pick a good race. But Winning Naps is what i like ![]() |
|
By:
19.10 Lever Du Soleil Nap: Looks to have clear claims from a stable that continues to churn out winners.
|
|
By:
No winning Nap today which makes a change.
selection jumped appalling. too bad to be true. |
|
By:
7.40 Big Tree NB: 2/1 fair price for a race with little in depth.
|
|
By:
Deary me another horse who can't jump plus going wide like that doesn't help.
Ballinrobe lottery. |
|
By:
15.45 Beckwith Place Nap: Almost pulled off a Miracle last time at Galway and though up slightly in the Weight and up in grade This Nag still looks worth a punt.
|
|
By:
15.55 Aplomb NB: Winning Nap on here last time at Leicester and feel he can go in again with conditions to suit again.
|
|
By:
Well that was pretty Crap!
Nap normally held up, to the fore, cross a line through that and back at Leop or Galway held up will suit. Aplomb Traveled ok but not good enough off a slow pace and the going is clearly not that soft HQ. |
