Somerst Sam, not when Moore is concerned. I tend to back another (if necessary, better price assured) principal opposition or the 2nd string from AOB's stable or not at all; Moore's booking does not instil (extra) confidence in me for sure.

duncan idaho, not the slightest. One could have planned and anticipated an accident could/would have happened given potential hazard ahead eg driver/vehicle behaviour, unless it is mechanically induced and nor driver error (suddenly) eg a puncture. But let's stick to horse racing/riding/jockeyship.

I need say nothing more - it's there almost day in , day out for all to see - if you choose not to see it then that's your call.
If you watched 2016 Royal Ascot and then still make some of the ludicrous , imo ,assertions that have been made on this thread then jeez there's nothing else to say- The Ghurkha , Alice Springs , Kings Fete off the top of my head - and then Minding in The Oaks oy , oy , oy - what a filly she showed herself to be to get him out of jail on that one . 'None so blind as those that cannot see'. |
|
By:
Nah, not Kings Fete, that was just an example of what the interference rules in this country are encouraging, imo
Cause interference, you may get a few days ban (7 in that instance), but as long as you win by more than a nose, you are virtually guaranteed to keep the race. |

Strong in a finish when necessary.. I have seen him cck up so many times though, that to be lauded as a great is idiotic. Bandwagon stuff IMO. He is also guilty of blatantly NOT riding right to the line , therefore not achieving the best possible placing. As long as there are those who are loathe to put forward their real thoughts on Moore, those that give their honest opinions will be ridiculed. Frankie is a much better jockey and horseman. Granted, they can all make mistakes, but for all the accolades bestowed on Moore, he really doesn't live up to the title. We British are all too quick to shower praise on our own. Not too long ago Joe Hart was regarded by the football pundits as "The best keeper in the world!". Our stalls handlers, ditto..........judicial system etc etc etc. I prefer to make up my own mind, not have others do it for me!

I think that knowledge of horses is a big factor. I have no idea how much time Ryan spends at Coolmore relative to Sir Michael Stoute's. Tom Queally is not one of the top 10 jockeys but he always looked good on Henry Cecil's horses because the great man made sure that he rode them regularly on the gallops. Similarly Richard Kingscote and Tom Dascombe, Hanagan back with Fahey and many other successful partnerships. Perhaps that explains why other Coolmore horses ridden by their work jockeys sometimes beat the Moore ridden favourite.

Johnny Murtagh will be dissecting the rides of Moore on ITV Racing similarly to yesterday. No howlers please, Mr Moore, you are on Candid Camera!

Hi All. If any of you are looking for decent selections across horses and some other sports with an excellent staking system you could use to run alongside you need to visit the facebook group called no mug bets money making system. They have over 90% of days which profit and over 60% of selections come in which i think is brilliant. Yesterday for example 6 out of 7 horses come in and a football bet. Obviously cant hit those heights every day but it must be the best about. All results are available for wins and losses etc. Nothing is hidden and a free trial is also available for members who want to see the selections for a few days first. None of this affiliation rubbish either. Well worth a look if you want someone else putting the work in to picking selections! Most selections can be placed on betfair exchange which helps as better odds on here of course!

That was a very good ride from Moore controlling the pace and race from the front; kicked at the bend and got the job done (well).

The pressure of being Ryan Moore must be insane. There is a lot behind the scenes that the general punter and racing fan is not privy to, and Ryan Moore's demeanour in interviews to me is a hint that he is under pressure beyond what the average jockey would be. This is bound to affect his judgement at times.
I'm a Ryan Moore fan but I blamed him when Alice Springs was beaten at Royal Ascot last year. I don't know how he got himself into the trouble he did on the best horse in the race. Thinking about it later maybe it was a case of him not really knowing how good she was at the time, and he maybe thought riding for luck was the best tactic, but if that's the case then Coolmore/Ballydoyle have too many top class horses for the good of the game and they aren't getting the best out of them. Some of those that have been sacrificed for pace makers in the past is almost scandalous IMO, and I'm sure other practices that would be frowned upon by animal lovers are going on, but they are animals all the same and they are legally exploited as their wealthy owners see fit and I love the racing game so I shouldn't really have a problem with any of that. Punters are justified in their criticism of a bad ride and are entitled to think jockeys are on their game, but we also have to accept that betting on racing has all sorts of unknowns attached. There wouldn't be a thing such as betting if everything always went as expected. Ryan Moore is one of the best and I wish him all the best. Soumillon, SDS, Joao Moreira, Hugh Bowman, and many others are likely just as good or possibly even better, and would be just as decorated if they were in his (tough) position. And to all those that say he should be grateful, I say rubbish. He's a talented and hard working jockey who may have also been blessed with good fortune, but money and fame come with pressures that those who don't have it can know nothing about. |

No doubt in my mind that Crowley is the most consistent jockey riding at the moment. I backed Frankie there and for once he had a real shocker.

O'Brien/Galileo is the real story of the week. Two classics and 3 more Group wins from a handful of runners. After Mullins and Elliott at Cheltenham, the only way British trainers can win any significant race is when the ferries are not running.

Whoever created this post is an absolute pocket talker. Ryan is by far the best jockey in UK and in the top 5 in the world. You keep backing the likes of Liam Keniry and Shane Kelly if you dont like Ryan Moore and see how you do. Unreal post from someone who clearly has no knowledge of racing.

Moore rode an intelligent 1st race at Chester. In the Chester Vase he was in the right place after the off, and Donnacha and Heffernan were extremely courteous to me too - they did not make things difficult for him.
Moore might have won £23,214,221 of prize money over the last 5 seasons, but out of a combined pot of significantly more eg £500m+ perhaps, despite mainly on the highest rated/best horse or fav in the races. I hope he has a better Royal Ascot this year than last as last year was woeful even for Moore. I firmly believe the 1st 3 of the Chester Vase are inferior to that of Derrinstown or Ballysax. |
|
By:
But , if you'll indulge me Aypers , let me ask you a simple math question :
Jockey A has 500 rides in a season @ an avg. SP/ride of Evens and rides 250 winners. Jockey B has 500 rides in a season at an avg. SP/ride of 20/1 and rides 50 winners. Who is the better jockey? |
|
By:
jockey b doesn't exist ,jockey a
takes it. |

If only Moore could deliver a strike rate of 50% from every even money shot he rode...the punter would be extremely and eternally grateful and ludicrously wealthy. But he did not.
In the forthcoming Royal Ascot Moore could be on Minding, Churchill, Seventh Heaven, Winter or Rhododendron and Highland Reel, how many winners from these lot? I'd be grateful with two; delighted if three; ecstatic if four, and a Moore convert if five. |
