The market should remain open until they've weighed-in. There should be no suspension of the market when they [approximately] cross the line as the event is not 100% finished.

Then they should wait on the official result. Nobody should be allowed to bet with money that is not theirs. I get that for Betfairs business model they want to settle quick but when it goes wrong they should honour it.

No to cater for these rare events and the many photo-finishes and stewards enquiries. How many times do BF open a market slowly or not at all when there's a photo or a stewards?

Just leave the market open until the result is 100% known.

Yes, and the market is usually re-opened for photos & stewards.

TheFear we will have to agree to dissagree. Gamblers are Gamblers and there are rules in place to protect the vulnerable(not saying myself) however when Betfair are clearly not following the rules of their licence then there becomes issues such as this. It should not be possible that I or anyone else owes Betfair money. The same way bookies on course are not meant to take tick bets.

poor customer service by betfair - if there is to be a significant delay in paying out Snapping Turtle winners then why not post a message to explain this?

steve2zaf,
Ask betfair to ask the people who matched your lays, if they will void them for you. Some of them might be generous types.
