How can you dogmatically LAY a horse with this profile? ...
Last time out - ANALYSIS Claudio Monteverdi is a promising colt as well. He really ran on strongly from over a furlong out and was really motoring only well inside the last. He´ll get further in due course but he looks to have enough speed to win a maiden over this trip. One thing for certain is that he will improve. |

what time dus it run?

Well I suppose I am more than happy not knowing what you know Mart, your mole must fecking dislike you somewhat.
Good luck with the chase, and one thing you should learn from this is to just come on and say "this is the wrong price and worth a lay" rather than the "stop guessing you don't know what I know" b0llocks. Or just leave the Irish guessing game well alone unless it's top class races. Not expecting you to take any of it in though, as everyone else are always wrong and you are always right. |

i took a chance as the horse is really bred for middle dis races , change of tactics today seen its stamina come into place it was a great forceful ride , running the others into the ground , a jockey using the horses stamina on the heavy ground to great affect , i actually backed the weld horse ew never showed bit disappointing , lost a little not much harm done as i had the winner 11/4 i posted up
baron bolt , won really well that one , back to the drawing board i guess ! |

Everyone is guessing in these 3yo maidens and 3yo hcaps. Races best left alone imo.

Swardean you 100 % spot on ... but dont give this forum that sort of info.... what about the LAYERS... we all have to eat .......................
|
|
By:
So Mart what you are actually saying is you knew nothing that nobody else knew and had a guess. Why come out with the nonsense comment about us all guessing and you knew something we didn't? It just makes you look extremely silly now and pretty embarrassing as you clearly knew nothing.
|
|
By:
swardean i do ok in them very few of my lays win , but sometimes they improve and the penny drops
anyone who knows about breeding etc wd tell u that horse wants further , but they used that to great affect setting a fast clip , complete change of tactics , it will stay a mile and a half , so was surprised it was running over a mile , even the race commentator stated before the off , it will need at least this distance to get going , as soon as i seen them setting fast tractions i new i was in trouble , , lucky the cole horse bolted up saved my bacon ![]() |

irish... i play my game my way .. a loan shark... bigmart i would not entertain or anyone else on here... why they dont have the experience
|
|
By:
magic i follow speed figures and look at breeding a lot of these horses improve , but the fav had dire times and yes it was unlucky but i thought as it is bred for further , i wd take a chance and lay an odds on shot , most of my lay bets loose but not today , you are guessing every time you place a bet magic its called judgment , but today the change of tactics worked , but thats history
|
|
By:
oh do shut up zipper i have seen some of your sel and no way they wd win
so dont come on thinking your better than anyone , u had your fingers burned a few times but did u see me having a pop ffs ![]() |
|
By:
Everyone knows it should improve with a step up in trip, that's not the point. You maybe able to lay the same profile horse at odds on and over longterm be in front - therefore it's not necessarily a bad bet (even though it won today). But why all the "I am not guessing and know more than you" nonsense. How will you ever get respect that you desire on here with posts like that?
Please just read that a few times, listen and take it in. You may then get some respect on here rather than all the "I am the best" type posts. |

bigmart - So - presumably, because it is sired by Galileo -
- "anyone who knows about breeding etc wd tell u that horse wants further." I tend to think that the Dam has as much, if not more, influence on HER, limited number of, SELECTIVE offspring - than a sire who can be the father of hundreds of future examples. Claudio Monteverdi(IRE) 7th foal: brother to 7f (at 2) to 1m4f winner Lush Lashes (inc triple Group 1; RPR 121), closely related to Ire/US 1m winner American Girl, half-brother to 2 more inc Scottish Glen (5f-1m inc AW; 97); dam 1m AW winner |

Surely its' speed figures were poor because it hasn't exactly 'been off' previously - which is what people were actually saying before they raced today? How many of that stables speed figures are great in their first couple of runs and then improve?
|
|
By:
give up lads you cant tell him anything you should know that by now
|
|
By:
like i said magic u pick sel on things u have learned i do the same ,
not many 1 mile four horses win over a mile , i took the percentage call i dont know everything , but i know a bit , everyday is a learning curve speed ratings and breeding have worked really well for me , every man and their dog new it was going to improve today , but thought it might be short on pace , it not a group horse imo but time will tell |

dealer i have made valid pointed reiterated by the race coarse commentator
the jockey done well the form has not worked out that well from its 1st 2 races dealer not being smart they are not telling me anything i dont already know the money was down and the big change in tactics worked the orical i was wrong it happens am cool with it , |

magic serious question do you know how to work out speed figures
![]() |

Think I am with dealer here now
|
|
By:
Mart - I have nothing to do with speed figures whatsoever (and never will be), rather bet with what I see and I don't listen to any trainers/jockeys/pundits etc, or take any note of post/pre race comments in the paper.
|
|
By:
Also rarely bet on the flat
|
|
By:
mart where did you mention any of that pre race and you were asked a few times, nowhere, all you want to do is come on and say look i backed a winner at catterick because you want to be something you are not. be honest how many bets today, more than three is 1.01, nothing wrong in that, its all the lies and shoite people hate, like i said earlier, pointless saying anything to you, all you do is get abusive, ignore questions you cant handle and shout how great you are. pplease refrain from messaging me stuff, i havent and never will back them, good luck im out AGAIN

no proffesional gambler unless they have inside info can win with out speed ratings
yes horses improve in these races but 14 ran TIME 1m 49.27s over a mile g/yeilding was a terrble time , yes i know depend on pace of race , but u will find that was not a strong race today , as soon as i seen delts post [acca crosser ] i had to look twice at its french time as it was really fast , very easy to calculate , on any going , yes it is only a guide one of many tools we have how easy did it win was the pace strong , going , etc , but 9/10 when u get to the better races grade 1 over jumps and gr1 races the horses with the best speed figures over that dist win its not hard to see why this id as in the better quality races they tend to go a better gallop and u get truer run races , then this sep the class horses who can produce of a fast pace , massive dif to a maiden race ! |

goin kembo how can one calculate if u dont know the going or the ave speed rating at said track
dealer not a lot between these but my money wd be on STYLISTIK looks to have the best overall form , but al just watch with interest good luck |
|
By:
You'd use slightly bigger/smaller numbers to divide by. So long as you use the same number each time for the same going, then the number you use is irrelevant.

How do you know? Do you know everyone who makes money punting? I can assure you that you know nothing about my bets, and I can also assure you that I make money and have never used a speed rating in my lifetime of punting. Whatever works for you is fine, but don't jump to a conclusion that suits your own agenda because others use different methods at selecting their bets. I know another punter who makes plenty punting, and he would laugh at you suggesting he needs speed ratings to male it pay! |

I couldn't give a toss about players in America and Australia (what has that got to do with a single thing here)??
You are telling me and everyone on here that no professional punter makes money without speed ratings (and you are saying I am making MYSELF look an idiot)!! Well for one I do, and for another a good mate of mine does - and neither of us uses speed ratings at all. I do not know every other professional punter in the UK let alone the world though (and suspect you don't either), so am actually telling you that you are wrong with ACTUAL FACTS I have in front of me. |
