The idea of reserves was to ensure no one qualified by picking 3 at a meeting where an inspection had been called and would subsequently be abandoned. However, the rule should have been: If selecting a horse at a meeting where an inspection has been called then you must also select a reserve at a meeting where no inspection has been called. This is to prevent a situation where someone could qualify by selecting 3 NRs. Reserves are not permitted for horses selected at meetings where no inspections have been scheduled, and normal NR rules apply. It's too late to change it for now for Round 1, but it will apply from Round 2 onwards and I will make it clear on the subsequent selection threads. |

Jesus George can't people understand the reserve rule only applies where an inspection has been announced. Not sure what more you can say.

Please note everyone: From tomorrow when reserves are only allowed for runners at meetings where an inspection has been called, duplicate selections will be settled as losers if they are not noticed by the deadline time. Please check if your opponent has posted and what they have picked. |
