well 'hello', you are incredibly detached from the nature of human experience - if thats cos no ones been nasty to you in your whole life I say 'bless you' : thats how everyones life should be .
|
|
By:
On the other - and far more likely - hand, you have experienced it and you now fail to empathize with others so treated, on the basis that 'no-one was there for me when it happened, so fck 'em'

Or he's a sociopath with no feeling or empathy for the vulnerable who are there in his mind for his amusement.
|
|
By:
No munter , i just have a black sense of humour
i cant help but find it funny , as soon as i read the thread title i started laughing wouldn't say i was detached in any way because i have a sense of humour |
|
By:
well said - I retract my remarks.

On the plus side for the guy, he has since won at Crufts

By:
it iis funny, you're right - but i skip right over that part to the human-failure part of the story; the fact of so-called adults being so unevolved, so immature, as to still find bullying people 'worth doing'. So much more interesting, as the explanation of the 'why' is not easy to see.
|

|
By:
well maybe because you read the story you became involved with one of the characters
i just read the title Were it a story about people mistreating some vulnerable member of society then anger would overtake any other emotion , but until i read the story i can only assume all concerned were adults of able body and mind |
|
By:
How exactly is it funny? Would it be more or less funny if it was dog shiit they tricked him into eating? How about if they said, "Hey Fred, we've just installed showers round the back. Help yourself". Would you have chortled merrily if he wandered wide eyed and innocently into the gas chamber? Where does funny end and sick begin? Funny brings down those at the top a peg or two or laughs at our own idiosyncracies. In what way is taking advantage of the weak and their trust funny?

|
By:
Now having read the actual story i can see the sickness in the folk who done this and given the opportunity i would take a long heavy object and .......
And although im appreciative of the ten minutes of happiness and laughter the title gave after reading the thread im saddened vulnerable people are preyed upon by what i can only describe as the dregs of society , evil and immature people who life will one day catch up with in a big way |
|
By:
THREE people have been sacked from an Oldham William Hill branch after feeding a vulnerable customer a dog-food pie while others barked at him.
This disturbing act, carried out at the Huddersfield Road branch in Oldham, came to light over the weekend. The victim who is a regular customer in the shop is well-known for placing very small bets at around 5p and often asks staff for food because he cannot afford any. The first three paragraphs give a pretty good indication we weren't dealing with a hedge fund manager. |

By:
you must be a journalist eternal optimist , given that you only see what you want to and write nonsense aswell
|
|
By:
if you look at what i said , there is a point where i have only read the title , then i read the thread

Apologies hello. I hate the vulnerable being mistreated be they fellow human beings or animals. If we can't help out with a little individual kindness then the least we can do is not go out of our way to taunt or abuse peple we come into contact with. These "people" are the dregs.
|
|
By:
It saddnes me more because I was brought up near there and most people were rough and ready but decent sorts.
|
|
By:
exactly eternaloptimist
Something as small as saying hello can change the way a person feels , vulnerability isn't always a visible thing and im always amazed how little people understand or how little they can tolerate anything that doesn't fit into their perfect world all you can do is your little bit to help educate , and just help those who need it with a little kindness |
|
By:
That's the point hello. Who knows? The guy may have prioritised his eating habits in order to socialise in this way with people he may have come to see as friends in some way. For all they knew he had nothing and/or nobody to go home to but an empty home and four walls. Would it really have been such an imposition on their day to spend a couple of minutes passing the time and if he was struggling bring him a little something in to show that the world doesn't have to be a mean and nasty place all the time.

Well said eternaloptimist.

Bookies staff are sacked after man fed dog-food pie
Well that's the title. And I fail to see any humour in it at all. As to finding it so hilarious it made someone laugh fon10 mins. - the mind boggles at such moronic lunacy |

It just reinforces the view I came to a long time ago, that a lot of people in this world are just pieces of crap. And it’s something that transcends race and national boundaries.

I heard a better one from a mate who knew someone who worked as a cashier for his local bookie....
The cashier in question had put a small wager on the next race of the day and was in the middle of watching it when an old boy called Brian came up and asked for an apple juice (fridge was behind counter). The cashier said "no problem Brian, I'll be with you in a minute, I'm just watching this race." 30 secs later Brain shouts over "can I have that apple juice now?" to which the cashier again replies "I'll be with you in a minute." Anyway the horse he'd back get's chinned on the line and 3 secs later Brian asks for the apple juice again. So cashier tells him that they're out of apple juice, but he'll get one from the back. He goes out back and is gone for a good 3-4 mins. The manager wonders what's taking so long so goes out to backroom to find cashier rubbing the apple juice carton around his **** and around his sweaty balls... Cashier goes back into shop and says "there you go Brian, one nice apple juice for you." Brian sits down, puts the straw in and gleefully sips away... Every 30 secs cashier shouts out "how's that apple juice Brian?" to which Brian says "lovely" while manager watches on, trying not to fetch up his lunch! |

Surprise, surprise a much bigger headline story in today's Post of a William Hill punter winning £95,000 from a 2p EW Goliath.
Hills spokesman Jon Ivan-Duke said 'He came so close to landing a million, but it's brilliant that a punter staking such a small amount can win a life-changing sum in just three hours of racing.' Presumably, he was unavailable for comment on the other story. |
