Poop deck Cheltenham 2014 team/individual competition.
Starts Tuesday March 11th
RULES:
Backing only.
Only teams of 5 can participate.
ALL SELECTIONS TO BE POSTED AT LEAST 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO THE FIRST RACE.
Each team member to select one horse per race and in race order.
Each team member to select one NAP per day.
NAP cannot be the same as another member of their team.
Team members are to post their selections on the thread and then:
Team captains to collate their team members selections and collectively post them on the thread ie:

Non selection for a race shall incur a 2pt deduction.
If no selection is posted by a team member for that day, a 7pt deduction will be incurred.

I MIGHT have to step down as captain though as I may not be around at a time that makes it possible for me to collate selections put up by other team members. I was going to put up mine the night before tbh. |

If the whole team put theirs up the night before I wouldn't have a problem DICKIE but I might not be around for the 3 hours or so before the first race on some days. Not sure the others can.
zzzorro might have a point about Naps. I think in principle its fine but I can see somebody not noticing that another member of the team has already napped his. The only way round that is for the captain to make an executive decision and choose something else as that persons nap. |

I imagine it would make it easier for Stats pedro but if you can't do it and I can't promise to then I think it needs re-visiting.
This is why I think there should be a cap of 3 or 4 on the number of teams. |

salmon, it wouldn't need to be the captain to collate their team selections, but a team member doing it would make life easier for me as I won't be around much, if at all, during racing. I'm idle and wouldn't wish to have to do your team's work for you

I quite take your point STATS. Tbh I am not around much most afternoons ( I only bet much on GB racing on Sats these days. I am going to switch my activities to the morning during Cheltenham week but will be aiming to get back 10 mins or so before the first race. I know DICKIE and Shane both work. I don't think Lampus does but it took me long enough to get him to agree to take part at all. I could I suppose collate them during racing but I presume pedro couldn't as he is another worker bee.

The thing is, there's no time restriction on posting the team selections. During or after racing would suffice. It would just be preferable before.
