you will never profit from backing favourites

So why do you constantly use favourites not winning as an excuse for your poor performance then?
By:
bf_fananatic
When: 24 Apr 13 13:48
because the other thread used MDPM which is problematic in that the more you look for the horses

with the best group of recent runs then the poorer priced runner you arrive at, thus the system

was choosing to many favourites.

My fault of course but it is better to judge a selecion for a race on a single rating that is the best on the card

and hope that the market isnt as aware as you too its value!

Perhaps you could attempt to learn the "value" of other things too, BFF? Reality and punctuation would both be good starting points, imo.

The trick is how you rate each performance and compare them as accurately as possible

and official ratings though good are not the way to go as they are only of use for handicapping poundage over

a mean period and fat too over exposed in markets...

I have an ebook on scientific writing technique but haven't the precious time to read it gerard thankfully...

Using scientific writing techniques the sentence...

The trick is how you rate each performance and compare them as accurately as possible

and official ratings though good are not the way to go as they are only of use for handicapping poundage over

a mean period and fat too over exposed in markets...

would be classed as too long at over forty words and would look like this

The trick is how you rate each performance and compare them as accurately as possible.

Official handicapping figures though good are only useful for handicapping over a mean period

and too exposed in betting markets to be of value to punters.

I have little time to bother with such refinements as I am the teacher hereWink

Gandalfthegreys over stretched and elaborated sentencing is in direct conflict to

scientific writing recommendations and makes poor reading, pointing to awkwardness

and self obsession..

I only ever went on Koikeepers thread and pointed to the winner Tartan snow, it won and went

on to win at Cheltenham at 100/1 so the computer spotted the best hunter chaser that koikeeper

counldnt spot to save his life...

In respect of KK I rest my case

why will you not back your own judgement with your own money???......saying that you will need a massive bank the way you have been going.

Attack me all you like, it's the true sign that you feel threatened by someone that you know has you sussed out.

I have wished you success in picking winners, that's what the forum is about.

What it's not about is being a display case for a lying, manipulative wannabe scammer.

Congratulations on your winners, may I just point out that when you get a winner that is a favourite, it is not a great achievement, the reason that it's called a favourite, is because the majority of people that backed in the race thought it would win, so you are not alone. It's also a good idea if you stop saying it's not a good idea to back favourites, seeing that it's been very short priced favourites that have stopped your already huge losses from being greater.

Also when you post that you had 9/2 and 13/2 winners, it might be a good idea if you could get your hands on a maths book, as when you  throw two darts at every race, the price of your actual winner, is significantly reduced, as above, you've had a 7/4 and a 11/4 winner.

You should just put every horse up with a rating, then whatever wins you can claim it was "top rated" Laugh

42 races today, all covered by the fantasist with 74 selections/darts thrown, 76 originally, 2 non runners.

64 lost, 10 won.

Losses Forward : Minus £186.49

Losses Today : Minus £22.47 or 30.37% of stakes from 74 bets.

Losses To date : Minus £208.96

At a reasonable £10 per bet, that's £2,089 down in 3.5 weeks around £600 a week and remember he's throwing 2 darts in 6,7,8 runner races and giving himself from a 25% to 33% chance of finding the winner and still not finding the winner. In fact if it wasn't for short priced/odds on favs winning for him, he'd be in a Black Hole. Clueless.
