book, by the way, all ways to reduce the payment are unworkable.

salmon, the profit hike they generated from pc lasted 12 months, their profit once based on year on year results will probably show no further gain, wouldn't surprise me if they had seen a drop in premium charge revenues despite capturing smaller players

elise i can assure you i am not making assumtions.I pay 20% PC and i am talking through experience.I hover around the 20% mark and when i have a very good week it impacts on me for the next few weeks.
I get what you are saying about finding ways around it etc but i still believe it is wrong.

Big Boss - it is often quoted this "if you're smart enough to pay PC you should be smart enough to work out how to negate it" line. However, with respect, not every PC payer has the same circumstances. For instance, do you have a way for a PC payer whose commission rate is 4% to avoid it?

wee eck,i agree i dont think there is a way around it.

morally it may be wrong, but factually it is here, so if you go back to what i said, either you do something different or you'll know next tues day how much they will be taking off you

middleman there are no legitimate ways around non payment of premium charges once one is netted.

let me be clear both for you guys and the mods / betfair security, we are in no way talking about fraudulently avoiding the pc by opening alternative accounts or any other "rule breaking"

From what I've heard there are ways round it which Betfair would consider illegitimate but they wouldn't necessarily be unlawful.

Book and kat

The simple reality is that however odious the contrived system they introduce (its complexity is the measure of opportunism IMO) while ever the exchange is of some use then I wouldn't expect litigation against them.

Wee ek
Are you inferring that all PC payers are ch eats for being deviations from the norm?

Points to posters :-

1. Personally, I make consistent weekly profits from my main bets on BF

2. I do not pay PC, never have, never will, based on the lifetime figures on my account

3. I run legitimate systems in tandem to produce commission, based on winning and losing backs and lays

By:

dustybin. until book put me right I would have bet plenty that all

40-60% premium charge payers had a decided advantage nearly akin

to cheating.  I reiterate my earlier statement that anyone playing

on here strictly on merit paying 40-60% premium charges is imo certifiable.

without giving the game away, the system needs a stream of winning and losing bets to generate commission and loss to counteract it

think that when you move over the £250k the amount of commish you need to generate is huge as the "deficit" is backdated.

I suspect you are correct

Increasing turnover (and or risk) where the margin is less than your PC rate is obviously unproductive, which is why simply having bets on faves wouldn't help.( for the poster who suggested it)

a secondary system would need to produce in commission a fifth of your weekly profit

a secondary system would statistically long term generate a small loss over its lifetime

the small loss would be over a year a lot lesd than you would pay PC in comparison

do i need to go on ?

Its everything the company initially said they stood against

Betfair where winners are welcome

How those words have come back to haunt them

And for good measure its killing liquidity which is essential for any exchange
