It is painful, boring, amateurish, and please ditch the touchscreen stuff. I for one would bring the old team back in and ditch Fitz and anyone else without a personality! Loathe McCririck and co if you must, but the programme needs characters. Im afraid the new lot are just the opposite.

If you are going to make a comment Feltfair, make it worthwhile. "Switch off" is just not good enough. Nothing would ever get changed with your attitude. The programme IMO is bland and worse for the absence of the usual lot. If you dont agree, say so! Flyingbolt doesn't rate McCririck! Now that is a constructive comment re his opinion. If you are going to contribute to the forum at least make it interesting!

I watch all racing programmes because I love racing and accept the presenters for what they are - presenters. It`s not a popularity contest. To criticise Mick Fitzgerald who has done it all I find unbelievable. Is that interesting enough?

Glad I had a browse before putting up a similar thread Evil,you said more or less what I was thinking.Today was my first view of the new regime,regardless of the lack of racing it was like a poorly carried out transplant of the BBC to CH4.
Dire,patronising and utterly bereft of anything that would appeal to newbies never mind seasoned racing enthusiasts. |

GT - there are no Newbies. Patronising BBC coverage always directed their product at non-existent Newbies, explaining to us the difference between a grey and a bay, with the likes of Parrott and Wiltshire calling £40,000 bets neglecting to say that if they existed they were trade bets or city ignoramuses on a jolly. They even thought The Croc had some sort of idea about what was going on in a race. And now C4 will do the same with Nick Luck/Clegg middle-aged before his time and the disappointing Fitzgerald who averaged about 50 winners a season, fewer than the best amateurs. At least Henderson's got a chance of being champion trainer again which he was before the catastrophic arrival of Fitzgerald 25 years ago.

If CH 4 wanted real pundits they could do a lot worse than dig out Paul Haigh and Steve Dennis for in depth informative discussion..........................and have Steve Palmer and Tracksuit Dave alternate weeks to reflect the reality of following Pricewise.Seagull could be wheeled out with Big Mac to explain why.
