Colonel Mossy, if you had used the word cynical then you would have been correct, it comes with the territory, people have seen this type of thread countless times before and unless the OP provides proof that he/she is making the wagers then the majority of people will give him/her a hard time.
What is on here is a long way short of bitter and spiteful though, can only presume you have led a very sheltered life as the stuff on here is very mild compared to some threads.

Yeah I know what you mean Dave as in not copy and pasting the bets up from the slip on line. What I meant was he puts a list of horses up. Interesting thread though that as got People posting and got some irate as well Lol. Live and let live is what i say Grin

if i see a system i know is ridiculous through any sort of logical reasoning, i will say so.

this doesn't mean i wish the original poster to fail but merely that his logic of the martingale staking is flawed.

far too much of this guff on here

whatever system you have, if it doesn't work to level staking or level returns staking a martingale WILL NOT fix this. it just prolongs the agony.

the backing system seems pretty good to me , wouldn't fancy laying on the same basis. You can't do much damage with backing though, the increases in stake are fairly small.

It really depends on what happens if the end of day arrives without a winner - do you just write off the loss and start afresh the next day OR do you start the next day trying to recoup your loss + £100

My Winning winning winning with Martingale topic has been taken down when showing a £200 profit from 2 winning lay bets

I dont understand the moderators here

Martingale is just a form of gearing.  If you have an edge (which OP might or might not have) you will make a profit by level staking at a level that minimises the chance of going broke.  OP is effectively betting outside his bankroll to try and extract higher profits than his edge would dictate.

another winning day thanks for the imput lads ( well some of it )

there seems to be a lot of hatred on this thread, i can only

suppose its because i am doing ok at the moment

a lot of people truly beleive that martingale cannot work

i on the other hand think it does work that is my choice

nobody is asking you to risk any money i am doing this for

my own benefit. i am not or never will be asking for payment

off anyone. if you wish to follow that is your choice

good luck with your gambling in the future

I've pulled some stats from my spreadsheets to show how unprofitable this is.

This subset of bets shows a profit of nearly £15,000 for a £10 bet on each, so overall its a winning sequence.

Every time a winner occurs we win £100, and every time we have 10 consecutive losers we lose £2,000.

From 7567 bets we have 10 consecutive losers happening 213 times !! The longest sequence was 33 bets.

Overall you would be losing £268,600.00 giving that you never learn your lesson after the first wipeout.

My level stakes plan shows a profit of £104,444.42, with an average stake of £68.9 (some hope of getting that on with today's bookmakers).

My advice, is not to touch with a bargepole. Martingale does not work.

trd are you 100% sure about that, lets look at it another way

in a real world if you and i started with a 2k bank and i was

backing you were laying all my selections

lets just say there was no commision involved  ( already saved

you some money there )

at the moment my bank stands at 2600.... yours on the other hand

now stands at £1400

question is whos bank will be wiped out first ?
