Seven casualties including seven-star supremo angeleyz, making a shock exit at the first.   Sadly, two suffered from a withdrawal and non-runner stopping them in their tracks before they'd even begun. Hard luck people.   But look on the bright side: we made a profit!

So among those that made it over we have two in the 2s. Wow! But neither were layer of the day. That honour belongs to unluckyStu, who reckoned Dune Dancer  would trip at an eye-watering 1.8.   Bwillyant! Oh yes, those two in the 2s: swift-tuttle definitely didn t like Aimez La Vie  at 2.26,   while pleasedontgetinjuredclanroyal thought Highlife Dancer would lack rhythm at 2.74.

Drifter alert! buffythebookieslayer's choice Hijran went all the way out to 15.46 - and came third!   Phew! Almost a hij and ran job there!
