They've paired steptoe with Gordon Broooowne.

Has there been a worse pairing since Sam Fox & Mick Fleetwood?

Add Mugnae in the studio and you get the perfect set up.

if we must have delayed pics to accommodate pundits at least they could vary them like the old winning post, we just get a situation of pundits learning tricks, sitting on the fence and forming cliques with presenters

He wouldn't be able to slack off Frankel.

Wouldn't hold one side of him imo.

with editorial decisions like this surely RUK will fall by the wayside soon...?

they can't get new subscribers with this lot on can they...?

and current subscribers will surely pull the plug soon enough...

i heard them talking about custard and rice pudding yesterday as well as getting free bottles of champagne from paul hanagan...

surely pundits shouldn't have cosy relationships with jockeys...?

When: 10 Jun 12 14:30
HH, i'd guess the number of subscribers have fallen significantly to an extent RUK may now be looking to bookmakers to make up the shortfall

I subscribe to watch live racing not to listen to pundits.

The signing of Broonie is a serious misjudgement though. He offers nothing.

it will be of no surprise to me if the subscribers have fallen away rider...

it's just the same old garbage all the time...

has tom o'ryan ever seen a bad ride in his life...?

and as flyingbolt suggests the signing up of GB is a shambolic decision imv...

get rid of all these pundits, and cut the price to 10pnds a month.

what are you going to learn from these pair at perth today, sweet f all.
By:

i agree with both knot in wood and watchit tbh...

high fiving...getting bottles of champagne...

how can you take a broadcaster seriously when this is going on lads...?

surely these guys are supposed to keep a distance so they can offer an independant view...?

surely your judgement is clouded if someone is handing over a bottle of champagne and/or high fiving you in the weighing room...?

if i was running the channel i wouldn't allow it...simple as that.

"has tom o'ryan ever seen a bad ride in his life...?"

I don't know. Has anyone ever shown him a replay of his own effort at Doncaster?

I don't learn anything from the "experts" they all talk so well after the horse has bolted, which is very annoying.

tom oryans job is to offer his insight from a jockeys perspective, hes not there to dig the dirt or question things - hes there to explain and promote things - does a great job.

watchit - what do you mean, hes just a presenter on the telly - why have a go about stuff you dont know about,if you dont like it turn off - us punters value toms opinions.

best to just walk away watchit.

comingupthehill is clearly a wind-up merchant...

to say tom o'ryan isn't there to dig up dirt or Q things is astonishing tbh...

he's there to report on things / talk about things on the telly.

and even tho i don't listen to them these days i have NEVER heard tom have a pop at a jockey for a questionable ride.

yet most people on here see them on a DAILY basis...

The best are Hislop,Melish,Neesom and Luck. I quite like Cunningham,Howard,Naughton,Yates and Willoughby. I can't be done with Persad,Hannity,O Ryan,Brown.njoything to my e No opinions on the rest but they don't add anything to my enjoyment

Comingupthehill I would honestly pay an extra fiver a month if they eliminated all RUK presenters and pundits

if they eliminated all RUK presenters maybe Comingupthehill would have to find another job.

I dont think any viewer or punter would applaud a fencesitter with no strong opinions on anything.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

100% spot on watchit.

but clearly SOME people quite like the cosy fence sitting side of things.

can't comprehend why tho tbh...

to say tom (or any other pundit or presenter) isn't there to question anything is embarassing tbh comingupthhill...

when lydia and steve questioned ap's ride on the jp horse you presumably think they were well out of order to do so then...?
