I was expecting a 15-20 runner field. It might end up being about 10,which is a shame but at least they will race in one group.

HorseRacingExpert why would a defeat in Ascot take away from her previous achievements?
She is a mare and travelling for nearly 24 hours could have a bad affect on her,its why i wouldn`t back her.
Educeee the British love a good horse and despite the provocative comments coming from Australia the majority want to see her win and hail a champion.

it didnt affect Takeover Target,Choisir,Miss Andretti,Scenic Blast and all the rest,so it wont affect her,it is just a ready made excuse if she did not deliver or was not upto it,

it wont matter anyway,as she will piss up on the bridle as always

Well not being a mug I can only answer for myself but I've already said I fully expect her to win and that's never been an issue for me.

What has is for the Aussies to cherry pick a few victories and conveniently ignore far more defeats and claim their sprinters are the best in the world despite being spanked far more often when they have come over here than when they win. Plus also going by a fairly ambiguous Sprint Challenge series spread over 10 races where you can win 1 or 2 of those and are supposedly the best sprinter in the world, despite being slaughtered by about a dozen others in one race alone and various other defeats and that doesn't even account for many of the horses involved not even competing against each other more than once or twice, if at all.

It would be a bit like claiming the winner of the 6 Nations in Rugby Union is the best team in the world if in their very next match they happened to also beat one of the southern hemisphere nations too.

Australia: Peter Moody, trainer of sprint sensation Black Caviar, is facing his second drug inquiry in 13 months after a positive swab from recent winner Lethal Arrow.

Peter Moody: second inquiry

PICTURE: Edward Whitaker

Racing Victoria stewards initially informed Moody of an irregularity on June 16 and on Monday advised him that Racing Analytical Services Limited (RASL) confirmed a post race urine sample contained Oripavine.

Oripavine is a narcotic analgesic substance which may act as a stimulant on a horse.

Lethal Arrow won the Schweppes 0-68 Handicap at Pakenham on May 17.

Stewards advised Moody their investigation into the finding was ongoing.

In June last year Moody was finedAus$3,000 after pleading guilty to a charge relating to stakes-winning mare Returntosender, who tested positive to n-butyl-hyoscine and dipyrone in a post-race urine sample after winning the W J (Bill) Adams Plate at Caulfield on April 3.

Melbourne's reigning premier trainer, Moody has a commanding lead this year and is closing in on 100 city winners.

Any suspension would throw Moody's spring carnival plans into disarray including those of his headline galloper, world champion Black Caviar who is unbeaten in 13 starts.

Black Caviar, who only went back into pre-training last week, provided six of Moody's nine Group 1 wins this season.

Caulfield Guineas winner Anacheeva,Orr Stakes winner Typhoon Tracy and Australasian Oaks winner Lights Of Heaven were his other Group 1 winners.

i'm a genuine kind of guy, i'll show others about as much respect as they show me

I think it's downright disrespectful to completely disregard any australian sprinters wins and only focus on their defeats, I can guarantee a large sum of those defeats were at Newmarket

mugboy66 cannot even acknowledge our sprinters are world class, it's not 1 or 2 who have come to Europe and won at ascot, it's about 5 or 6.. this cannot go un-noticed and anyone who fails to notice this can only be classified as a mug

then we got old T-T here, with his allegations

how do you know something didn't sneak into the horses feed bin? you automatically assume it's foul play, which in turn causes you to automatically assume Black Caviar isn't a horse who wins on her merit, more on illegal substances, that investigation you bring up happened a very long time ago, if the stewards believe Moody was deadset cheating the industry do you think they would allow him to go on? this a country who forbids the use of pacemakers, very strict ruling on horse racing integrity, there is no way in living hell he would be able to continue if he was legitimately cheating

these 2 individuals alone are a pure example about why every aussie who roams this forum shows nothing but hate and disrespect for your kind

when Frankel won his mile race the other week which included 2 pacemakers, there was threads all over the Australian forums about it, don't think for a second when she canters to the pole at Ascot you haven't got the same coming your way

By:

When: 07 Jun 12 17:03
if he pleads guilty, you can bet anything you got that he's done it to take the minimal fine

what's he gonna plead not guilty and take them to court, why not pay the 3k fine.. what's 3k? not even half the prizemoney he gets when a low ranked horse wins a mid-week maiden, the fact it was only 3k says ammounts about exactly how serious the charge was

we'd need a vet to be able to determine exactly what it does to a horse, you're not a vet, I know i'm not a vet

you've been gripping onto these charges ever since i've seen you commenting about anything related to Black Caviar, as though you just don't believe it's possible for a horse to be this good, guess what pal

she's good, no she's not good, SHE'S THE BEST YOU'VE EVER SEEN

i'm no vet but a quick google search found me the answers to your charge

N-butyl-hyoscine and dipyrone are the active ingredients of the registered veterinary products Buscopan and Spasmogesic. In horses, Buscopan and Spasmogesic are commonly used to treat colic (abdominal pain) associated with spasm of the intestines. N-butyl-hyoscine is a smooth muscle relaxant that reduces spasm. Dipyrone is an anti-inflammatory and analgesic

your hate towards the trainer and the mare are based on a simple muscle relaxant, how do you feel about that?

a urine test was taken and obviously these ingredients were found in the system of the horse, how can he plead not guilty? and I am sure knowing what it was and what it was used for, he would have no problem pleading guilty
