 also once u take frankel out, there is a completely different dynamic on the running of the race, it would pan out differently therefore he wouldnt be winning all the races. completely diff races if frankel isnt there! also excelebrations rating is a joke, hes beaten NOTHING! |

im kidding of course, excelebration is a good horse but wayyyy overrated. tell me what hes beaten.
tell me why hes so highly rated and why rio de la plata isnt just a couple pounds below the greatest of all time? he ran him to the line in france. why has he got this crazy high rating? the german guineas 7 L victory? that race is worse than frankels guineas. |

the funny thing about ratings is that if we did take frankel out and excelebration won all of those races, he would now be rated what frankel is now and dubawi gold/zoffany would be rated close to what he is. the whole system is so subjective and tunnel visioned they are pointless but a handy overall guide to who the best horse is.

again im not saying frankel isnt one of the best milers ever all im saying is his rating is prob a little hing and that the ratings themselves are garbage.
having said that, dont ask me of a better way to calculate them , i couldnt think of one but they are very very flawed. |

Let's take the Prescott horses for example.. typically schooled round over 6f or whatever, then they get some sheety handicap mark of 50, and step up in trip to 14f and win about 10 in a row.

Although people would still be plotting horses because it wouldn't matter if he put them over 14f on their first few runs because they can't be that fit anyway.

well it would make sense. it would also encourage connections to step horses up or campaign them over diff trips RE frankel.
lets say he had a TF rating of 140 over a mile but 0 over 10 and 12 F in a way it could help breeders assess stalliuon prices too. |

Very good point regarding the breeding.. definitely an incentive to run your horse over different distances. Plus whack in that stallion rule I mentioned the other day that horses can only be bred from 5 years and over - P R O B L E M S O L V E D
I think it would make a lot of trainers try more with their horses too. Let's say the only way a horse's handicap mark could go down for the set distance is through them actually racing at that distance. It would therefore become a slower process if trying to decrease the handicap mark of a horse. Flat horses could have a separate handicap mark for every 2f.. eg.. 5/6f (handicap mark) = the same 7/8f = the same 9/10f = the same 11f/12f = the same etc etc |

Frankel is a once in a lifetime horse , achievements already guarentee unprecedented fees , 10 f will just be a slightly bigger unprecedented
 If you dont think frankel will step up you are misguided , its paramount that the horse is going to setle over a longer trip or they wont risk it , QA will be a reinforcement of the horses mental maturity seen in the lockinge then once all and sundry are blown away in the champion stakes all doubts will be gone as to who the greatest racehorse of all time is |

hello hes 4 and has beaten the same horse over the same trip about 4 times now
he'll never win a derby or arc, there will always be unanswered questions with this horse. his followers use the this 'henry will step up when hes sure he'll settle' hes settled fine, problem is his connections want to elimate as much risk as possible and if that means running him in a backend weak g1 like the champions stakes against over the top horses then so be it.hes got a middle distance pedigree hes 4, hes raced and beaten the same horses over and over and he hasnt even run beyond a mile yet. it beggers belief. |

Its pretty amazing given the strong influence of stamina in the pedigree that its able to burn anything of over a mile
Just a shame he was so headstrong as the fears linger on , or we would maybe be talking about a derby winner |
