Isn't super either

doubt it's even that popular...

The forums are about as valuable to betfair as a ratners timepiece, and super slots is as popular as a school bus being driven by Paul Merson.
Good luck with the promised improvements, but I think I'll be able to go into space before you iron out all the problems. At the moment, the betfair experience is like driving a car after a service at a garage that only employ blindfolded mechanics. |

clearly the massive venom and negative feed back on this thread tells me the slots look to be a good move, betfair exsist to make profit for its shareholders, full stop.if whilst making that profit we can create a pleasent customer experience then all welll and good, but the balance is
how much will this make - against how much will it upset our customers,we will live with upsetting you a bit ,but we dont want to upset you so much that you dont return to the site. so as long as the slots are paying their way then the forum gateway will be placed where we can find a space for it,but an idea on this may be to advertise the forum - but have it in a secret /hidden access, like when you have a cheat on x box games, hidden panels etc, this would add to the privelaged infomation secrecy that sometimes the forum oozes, inbetween ngu telling laz to pay the grand to charity, customers might feel theve entered a private punters club of knowledgable racegoers, and keep using the site more often. so sorry everyones pissed off - but either your a sharehol;der and will reap the benefit or your not ,so itss fook all to do with you. |

By:
but are the slots paying their way? Remember all the hoo-haa over virtual racing. They spent a lot of money on that but it still didn't take off did it?

these examples surely had the same view of business you have comingupthehill, these companies also existed to make profits for its shareholders, full stop.
and many of them were/are huge compared with betfair http://www.washingtonpost.com/business/economy/big-businesses-that-have-gone-bankrupt/2012/01/11/gIQAd7aVrP_gallery.html#photo=1 http://www.businessinsider.com/10-household-names-veering-towards-bankruptcy-2009-9#hertz-htz-1 |

Never understood why a company with a good reputation would want to promote something that goes against their core values.
|
|
By:
They only have one core value which is to make as much money as possible, irrespective of any moral obligations.
|
|
By:
sonko - when andy and ed started running like the blokes in resoiviur dogs after they come out of the jewellers,as they left the stock exchange when they sold up,then its core values changed to make profit and only protect good name enough as to not damage future profits,
|
|
By:
why don't they just make it that you can only access the forum by getting three bars on one of their slot machines.
this would open a window into the forum. that way people who don't play the slots can't post. |

Crickey MC Roller, I do like an analogy myself....but 3 within 2 sentences??
As for 'newness', I suspect it will remain such until something is newer. Hallam FM remained 'new' for god knows how long. I have never clicked on super slots so I dont know what it is, although I can hazard a guess that its some unskilled tripe and is actually a sign not of a company appealing to its shareholder, but infact one that has consistently run out of innovative ideas, which is rather sad. |

Betfair, now I don't know if you've already seen it, but the RP has... brace yourself dearest betfair... actually r-e-s-p-o-n-d-e-d to customer feedback - and on its home page to boot!
I know, I know, just when you thought commerce couldn't sink any lower. A company that thinks so much of its customer base that they have listend and replied to comments made by the mere plebs that enable that business to continue. I too was shocked, and do you know, they didn't even use a crayon font!? [well done Bruce] We are of course positively twitching with anticipation at the mere thought of the AGM when, I'm sure, all of our grievances will be discussed in a full and frank fashion. Will folding chairs be provided or should we bring our own? It's just that I'm getting a little old these days to sit on pavements alongside Guardian journalists. Is there any truth that God will be unvieling a working version of Live Video? Sooo excited. |
