Wee Eck,Did you know the brothers Chris and Tony? When Tony came out the shovel he had a couple of dogs with Stan Kennett when he had the kennels at the back of Hackney.Did you know The Twins were racehorse owners? They bought one out of a seller one day.Joe Stevens had his horsebox there and took it back to his yard at Epsom and trained it for them.Joe is still about,he must be 90,remarkable man,he still saddles them up for Richard Hannon at Lingfield and Kempton sometimes.Wee Eck,did you know Winnie Trew from Evering Rd?
|
|
By:
Wood Lane I did not know the twins owned a horse but Winnie was a good friend of my missus,
it was in her house in Evering Rd opposite the Regency that Jack the Hat (McVite) copped it. |

Interesting thread. Good read fellas.
Stephard, You mention that yourself, Findlay and Bloom each had an 8th share in 80 horses - can you say who else had a piece of the syndicate? No worries if you'd rather not say. Know anything of Matthew Benham (Brentford chairman), who used to bet with Bloom and have a piece of Premierbet? He's supposed to be one of the biggest and best punters in the country. |
