The problem with these threads is the failure to acknowledge the BEST of THE BEST despite all the help freely given.

Times change..........life and punting.........moves on........despite..........no need too....I want too........help fellow punters.

Been doing just that for years.........will continue.ExcitedWinkLaugh

glasgow i shared a room with peter for 9 months about 12 years ago  back in his heyday 10k was a fortune he told me he would normally do that amount to vc every month  he was a good tennis coach  his last sentence he got 3 years for trying to sell back a art masterpiece stolen in an armed robbery  the insurance people set him up  russel mc vicar  got 12 years  for the same offence  i had a lot of time for him he had a touch of class

yes, he came across as a dependable sort ( if you know what i mean ), he had some lovely looking lady friends.  Love

i liked the part early in the book when he was teamed up with  " george taters chatham "..

peter goes on to say  " george is 70 years old and is still like a tiger prowling the streets looking for a

friendly roof " LaughLaugh GREAT STUFF.

many years ago i travelled up to yarmouth to back a horse called rio duvida  trained by david loder  must be 17/odd years ago  i wanted 15k on it he went evens at the time i had long hair and had been on the nose candy for 3 days  he had his back to me talking to derek stogdon of ladbrokes ,,,r i p .. i tapped him on the shoulder and said even 15 ,he looked me up and down and said son the silver ring is down there .i handed him the money  he layed the bet it won  swinging on the bit ,,,,,15 mins later he was having an autopsy with anyone who would listen saying he had 3 horses fancied and thought evens was a good lay and never saw me waiting he then said to his workmen who is this hobo who dug me out ....i then asked for 30k down to hobo  as the years went on he never let me forget it

g hall a lot better when they won  often a very long drive home when they lost  to be honest 15/20 years ago was easier to win than now  i remember that day at yarmouth rio duvida was pulling 5/6 in front 2 out  happy days   not so happy when i had 65 on kauto at 2/13 at exeter  would have won 2 fences still thought it had got back up  people ask why bet 2/13  it s madness  they may be right  but i made it a 1/20 chance

remember being in a pub with john egan about 7/8 years ago and at 4 in the morning the guy was para, absolutely langered and was supposed to be riding at lingfield the following day, well next day I said to myself no way did johnny make the flight,I couldn't believe it when I saw him on atr down at the start,he was still drunk, rumour has it he mounted the horse backwards in the parade ring, anyway finished down the field, and the horse was quietly fancied but obviously had no chance.
