This is great reading wee eck but there remains just a little nagging doubt that I'm being hoodwinked and in actual fact you're a 23 year old bird with a wicked sense of humour making up these stories.

I'll have to put you to the test just to prove to myself that you are who you say you are. Question: Can you name one of the actors who played a part in the comedy duo Mick and Montmorency. Clue...Peter?

I am told by many in the game that Johnny Lights is the only name that matters.

That is enough for me,though i do have a soft spot for "The Viking" for one reason or another, but that is my own personal opinion.

Last known of in Kenya.

I've been a reader for quite a few years now but don't usually feel an urge to comment. However, after reading this thread I felt I had to register a chatname just to say thanks to you all - Stephard, Wood Lane, wee eck, Dr A' etc. Agree with the many others who have stated how much they have enjoyed reading this. Memories are indeed a treasure and as 'Cashless-Looking-Good' said - RESPECT to you guys. Great stuff!

nut s i would be the youngest of the group at a guess im 45 but was going racing from the age of 13  the games been good to me and also very cruel have seen the biggest players come and go  but 100/percent b/fair killed off the track characters  all thats left is arbers bots and the fast pic s guys fighting each other for price s   same as snooker halls they are now becoming extinct  all the back street clubs being closed down  sign of the times or are we just getting old
