Skiddy was sam Armstrong's. One of my dad's favourite horses. Won the last race at 100/8 one day, but my dad had run out of money by then and couldn't back him. He was sick!

There is a horse called Shifting Gold in the next at Newcastle,im fairly sure there was a jumper with this name in the 70s.BTW has a good chance of turning form around with the fav.[;)][;)]

I remember Old Man Dimplex for one reason in particular. Looking at the next day's cards in my local evening paper one night, I noticed the typesetter had been playing silly beggars and had the horse down as Old Man Durex. ![]() |

My two favourite horses might have been a little earlier were Tintinabulam trained by Gosden's father Towser at Lewes and the
other was Gudmenarmist a dual purpose horse flat and hurdles. |

Remember watching The ITV 7 many years ago, i told my nan to back a chaser called Space project ridden by Ron Hyett it won at 10-1 wolverhampton (i think)she backed it in a shilling win yankee with Tony 6-1, irish tony 9-2 and Young Anthony 11-2 all winners.(My cousin Tony was serving in Northern ireland at the time).Just before christmas as well think she won over £200..great memories
