Phoenix Des Mottes is a winner of four races ranging from 11f to 25f all on today's good ground and last won off 88 (now 84) a year ago this week for young Joey Cornwall who is still claiming the 7lbs. This winner at the distance of today's 2m4f over hurdles could give the two market rivals and recent winners a race with Himrayn up 10lbs and Piment DEstruval up 3lbs and stepping up in class.
The two principals are not proven over this longer distance and Phoenix could rise from the ashes to spoil their party..  |

Tominator Ling 4-45 8/1 Tominator has been on his holidays over to France were he has contested some decent races albeit on ground too soft for him, the last being 15 days ago in a 20k handicap when he set off at 51/1. Last seen on these shores at Wolverhampton in November when he stuck out his handsome grey head winning a class 2 over today's distance off 88. Only 2lbs more now The Tominator could blast away his rivals today with Arnie Culhane booting him home.. |

37pts profit Meridiem 2-30 Towc 8/1 BOG Today's good, good to firm in places surface could bring out the best on a return to this track where best form was recorded last May over this dist when close 2nd at 66/1. Decent conditional Chris Honour back on and now 6lbs better off than last time out.. Lonesome Boatman 5-00 Towc 9/2 Comes out top in RPR and TS and is another who will appreciate the better ground and a return to 2m3f where not beaten far in the past. 1/2pt ew double 8/1 and 9/2 |
