Blackstone Vegas Wolv 13/2 Off for 110 days and won off a similar mark last May, ran well last time over C&D when slow early pace wouldn´t have been ideal, runs well after a break and other win was after a two month break. Joe Fanning takes over who has come close on him in the past.. |

Blackstone Vegas 3rd Capercaillie 8-15 Wolves 11/2 This race was won last year by a 4yr old and I think it could happen again in the shape of Capercaillie who was sent off favourite for the Queen Mary in her 2yr old days, in which she finished fourth. Has been off for 196 days and is now trained by the in form Clive Cox, winner on debut and has always kept the best of company. The plan would be to be Prominent, and put her pretty chestnut nose ahead at the business end..[:p] |

Marc of Brilliance 5-45 Utt 9/1
|
|
By:
RPR top rated Marc of Brilliance has yet to win a handicap but today's ground of Good, Good to Firm in places could change all that. Gary Moore who owns and trains this chestnut gelding has been running him over 3m lately but today's 2m6f and stepping down in class could see him in a better light with his record of 1 from 2 and 2 from 10 on this ground..

By:
Valiant Knight Donc 4-50 6/1
Valiant Knight who comes out best in speed figures won first time out last season on GF ground over this distance and is dropped 2lbs for first run out today, if it is true good ground this afternoon Ryan Moore could kick off a fantastic family double for me.. 1/2pt ew double 9/1 and 11/2 |

![]() Jeer won three times on the Polytrack last year and ran well at Wolverhampton last time finishing 2nd to the odds on favourite, comes out best on RPR and TS figures and has won over the dist and is now 16lbs below last turf win and yard won this race last year. Of the main fancies Hail Tiberius has the best jockey but for me looks better on softer conditions while Squad is up another 4lbs and Mr J. Coffill-Brown can only claim 5 instead of 7lbs. Jeer is the POSTDATA Nap of the day to boot.. |

![]() All bets to BOG from now on.. Livvy Inn 2-30 Kelso @ 4/1 who has appeared on here before whose sole success came two years ago on his debut then took his chance in the Grade 1 juvenile hurdle at Aintree. Absent last term through injury, he has been dropped 14lb after four previous outings this year. He was a length down and looking the winner when he slid on landing two races back and today's 2m 2f could bring out first handicap win.. |
|
By:
Guilded Warrior 3-40 Windsor @ 3/1 has a good record here and won first time out last year over CD for this jockey..
Go Nani Go Wind 4-40 8/1 Winning 2-y-o debut and left Bryan Smart since last season, but good comeback for new yard on AW debut last time. |

Time waits for no Horse and two of the very best of our generation appear on Aintree's opening day card on Thursday. Big Buck's the winner of sweet sixteen races has dominated the long distance division and won his last eleven races since switching to hurdles after UR in the Hennessy Gold Cup in 2008.
The two bells on Thursday has been won by 6 and 7yr olds every year since it's inception in 2004 and the Champion 8yr old could be.... just coming to the end of his tether with the shadow of the up and coming 6yr old grey gelding Grand Crus looming. Last year all though winning comfortably Big Bucks put up his worst figures for this race and the 23lbs inferior Souffleur was only just over 2lths behind with the 35lbs inferior Possol another length down. David Pipes Grand Crus could be the next hurdling kid on the block and has only 5lbs to find on OR, only beaten by just under 2lths at Cheltenham the softer conditions this time could turn the tables and set the Crus (Wine) bottles popping.. Denman fell on his last visit to Aintree but that was in a very hot renewal of this race in 2009 that Madison Du Berlais won, also in attendance that day was Exotic Dancer, Albertas Run, Our Vic, Snoopy Loopy and the The Listener all rated in the high 160's and 170's. Denman's main rivals have both missed Cheltenham to wait for this, Nacarat who is 22lbs inferior and never won on GS and Punchestowns who is 19lbs inferior and all though a winner over this distance of 3m1f is better over 20,21f. Carole's Legacy could be the Mare in the ointment receiving 7lbs but The Tank should win the battle and out gun them all.. Grand Crus 2pts @ 4/1 Zarkandar 3pts @ evens Denman 3pts @ 5/4 Baby Run 2pts @ 7/2 Turko 1pt @ 6/1 Moncadou 1pt @ 11/1 |
