AllRobster, two weeks to go until my full year of posting. I am not counting my chickens of reaching the magic 300pts profit just yet though. With saying that, not bad for a corpy joiner who has more form books in his van than bags of nails. And as for you, you've had all that reunion with Take That to contend with, it must of been terrible trying to work out the winner of a 22 runner 1m handicap at Newmarket with Gary Barlow banging the hell out of a piano in the back ground.. |

Good yearBottom weight SO IS SHE has won twice around here at 7f in maiden and then selling company @ 1/10 but is yet to win a handicap. Runs off joint lowest ever weight today and is better drawn than last time here when fast finishing 2nd from an outside draw. The plan will be sit just behind the leaders and take it up with the packed Southwell stands shouting her home.. |

Haven't popped in for a while, well done billy good to see you're back in the groove! As you're a joiner expect all your selections to be nailed on!

Thanks SR
Not this time though, drifted out to 7/1 from 5/2 in places. Ran a stinker and one to keep an eye on in the near future.. |

PRINCE OF VASA 7/1 Southwell 3-50 4pts
|
|
By:
PRINCE OF VASA won his maiden @ 11/10 when making all with Frankie on board in April 2010 at Wolverhampton, that seems along time ago now and after starting handicap life in a class 3 off 80 he now sees himself racing the best part of 2st lower in today's class 6.
Plied his trade here the last four times and if Andrew Mullen can get him on terms from his high draw he could take advantage of falling mark which was 11lb more when nearest finish in a 5f class 4 in November.. |

FEARLESS POET 7/2 BOG 12-55 Southwell 4pts
|
|
By:
SPACECRAFT looks all the rage but the one I think could turnover the well backed favourite is FEARLESS POET who with a line through MATAAJIR who beat today's jolly LTO has the beating of him.
The key to my fancy could be the return back up to this mile where he won over CD in December 2010 off 45 from 5lbs out of the handicap. Since then he has been tried at 7f but only found the in-form MINORTRANSGRESSION one too good back up to 8f albeit by 5L. Expensive to follow of late and has been favourite the last three times but this imaginative named son of BYRON and FEAR NOT could re-coup the losses for The Smart Fear Not Partnership with first time blinkers applied.. |

Pulled up, had recent winning form on GF and the Soft ground looked to go against her and at 10 will probably find it tough now until ground improves in the spring with a lower mark.

FLAYGRAY 11/2 BOG Donc 2-50 4pts
|
|
By:
RPR top rated FLAYGRAY is a 8yr old lightly raced winner of two races on Good and GF ground over 17 and 18f with the last win in a class 4 handicap hurdle off 97 winning by 9L. Up 11lbs for that this Grey gelding has also ran very well over 2m6f again on GF ground so today's 2m3f looks ideal.
The forecast Good ground today could see further improvement with Campbell Gillies taking over from young Alex Voy.. |

PORTHGWIDDEN BEACH 5/1 Kemp 4-15 4pts |
|
By:
I have always done well picking winners in low grade racing over the years and I like the look of the POSTDATA and Top Speed selection PORTHGWIDDEN BEACH in the class 7 opener at Kempton. No great shakes like all of these but this CD has brought out the best in this bay filly who won here off 51 and then ran well off 54 in October when in front of today's favourite BRIAN SPROUT and is now 8lbs better off. Now down to a mark of 47 and with chris Catlin keeping the ride a another good run could be on the cards..

inono, Our posts crossed. How's the laying going
![]() |
|
By:
The laying is going good Billy, I am slowly but surely concentrating on lower priced ones. The thing with me is that although I have followed horse racing for years and done ok at it, it was not until I started reading posts by yourself and therobster that I decided to try and educate myself more, I now try and find a good reason instead of relying on luck alone. I may get there one day, the main thing is I am enjoying the racing
Billy that winner that you picked in Ireland the other day was top stuff in my opinion - A top class selection like many that you put up here, I looked at the race later and would not have found the winner in a million years - Well done Billy Off topic, do you ever go to Haydock? I miss it big time |
